Best age to take son for the first time?

My first trip with my son was at 3yo he is 6 now and still remembers it. And wants to go again every second!

Congrats on the new baby!
We took DS for first time to WDW at 10 months old. I thought he would be way too young to enjoy anything, but honestly, he was great the entire trip, never cried at the characters and had a great time. He is now 20 months old and we are taking him to DLR for his 2nd birthday.

I don't think that there is really a perfect age. I think that if you take an infant you should plan on doing things at a little slower pace to accommodate them, but you can still have an amazing trip and create wonderful family memories. I love all of the pictures I have of DS seeing Mickey for the first time. I'll cherish those pictures and our first vacation with him forever.

I think it's a what is right for You and Your baby kinda thing. :goodvibes

For us we always took our children when they turned 5.

Now that is the starting age for our grandchildren..so in Feb we are taking our 6 year old and twin 5 year olds.:grouphug:

Have a Good Pregnancy and a Safe Delivery with a Beautiful Healthy Baby!:flower3:

Thanks for all the input. I think when he hits 3 years old will be the perfect time to take him for his first visit. Then we can show him the Walt and Mickey statue and tell him where he got his middle name from. (Our sons middle name is Elias.)
