Planning for January 2019, and I made my ADRs a few weeks ago when my 180 day slot opened. I know Ohana is a difficult to get ADR so I was just happy to get it at all..... my dilemma is I'm hoping to time it right with the fireworks. I have one ADR for our arrival day for 7:35pm, and one for our other MK day for 8:50pm. The original plan was to try to see it from Ohana, but I've never been there before and I'm not sure how it'll work. Happily Ever After is scheduled for 8pm every night of our stay, so I figured with my 8:50pm ADR we could watch the fireworks from the Poly beach and then relax at the Poly for a few minutes before wandering in for our dinner. I'm definitely not going to keep both ADRs, so I'm just wondering what other's experiences have been with timing.

Also, both of those days will be spent at MK. I thought it would be fun to take an excursion on the monorail to explore the GF, Poly, & CR. My cousin is coming on her first time to WDW. Would it be too much to do that on our arrival day, after flying in and spending time at MK? I can't decide which plan is better. Thanks!

Edit: The Magic Kingdom fireworks are scheduled for 8pm both nights. Thanks!

You cannot plan to see anything from inside 'Ohana. That is not to say you won't be lucky, but not all tables have a view, and you cannot leave to watch and then return. You may not even be seated at that time, 'Ohana is notorious for falling behind.

If you want to see it from the beach I would keep the later ADR.

Not sure what time fireworks are when you are planning on going but I have always been pretty successful at watching the fireworks from Ohana with a late reservation. You can always show up a little early and request a table near a window or somewhere you can watch from and tell them your willing to wait if need be. Most times they are pretty willing to try for you.

HEA is I think a 30 min show.. I would watch it on the beach at the Poly and then go eat at 850 as long as that isnt too late of a dinner for you and your crew!! If you do not get a table window for the 735 ADR then you will miss the show!!

19:30 tp 10:45 hours is when I schedule our arrival night dinner at Ohana and in 5 trips we have always been able to see the fireworks with ease. Ohana is such a tradition in my family we schedule a dinner there on our 1st and our last night. Ohana is as close as my cowardly lionesses will get to a fireworks display.
