BEST 2 TS Credit Restaurant???

Hi!

My friend and I are HUGE foodies and in October 2010, we decided to do the deluxe plan to try out all the 2 credits restos (to the exception of the Caslte and the Brown Derby) and our favorites were (in no particular order) : Flying Fish, California Grill and Narcoossee's. ALL AMAZING FOOD AND ATMOSPHERE!

Thanks for the input! We are on regular Dining. We have a couple extra credits though. One from our first night, we always eat CS by the pool since we are exhausted from the drive from Ohio to Orlando. (I only fly if its more than a 24 hour drive or there is an ocean in my way, lol)

Oh and I bought a $100 restaurant.com cert for House of Blues, so we won't be using a credit at DTD. Hubs loves HOB although the food isn't anything above average.

I looked at Citrico's which may be an option. Flying Fish looks fun but out of the 6 ppl in our group only 1 person eats seafood.

Cool about the certificate at the House of Blues, I wish restaurant.com delivered to Canada...arghhh
I don't like fish and i had an amazing steak at Flying Fish but of course thats pretty much one of the only options you have on the menu if you dont like fish!!! hehe My experience at Cirticos was horrible but i guess we were just unlucky since everyone seems to love that resto! I'm sure you will enjoy your 2 credit resto no matter which one you decide to go with!!!!

we've eaten at Citricos, Brown Derby, and California Grill...

Citricos was by far our favorite.....
the food and service were both outstanding!!!

Brown Derby was ok - but the atmosphere was marred by the rushing waiters and theme park just outside the doors ...
but the food was good..

we hated the california grill - it was incredibly noisy....not at all what i'm expecting at an upscale restaurant....and the service was strangely snooty....not sure how to describe it, but the whole experience was bad...we would never eat there again, not even for free.

I haven't been to Yachtsmen or LeCellier yet. (wife's a vegetarian). We're trying LeCellier next trip.

I'm one of the few people who was disappointed at Artist Point.

California Grille is by far my favorite.
Flying Fish is a close second.
Jiko is fantastic, but unless you are staying at AKL its a bit of an out of the way of the rest of the day place.
Citrico's is good, but I've had good and bad meals there.
Narcoose's is all about the location, and the view. If you're looking for seafood flying fish is a much better option.

Also, don't be fooled into ordering the $50 Lobster or the surf and turf at NArcooses. you'll be disappointed.

But if you're gonna do one signature,. make it California Grille

Our recommendations would be:

Citricos
Flying Fish
Jiko

We tried the "new " Le Cellier in March and do not consider it a signature experience.

After the first three we like Cali Grill, Bistro de Paris , Artist's Point, and Yachtsmans. We were not that impressed with the Brown Derby, but would still rank it above the "new and improved" Le Cellier.

You can get them in canada..just call to place the order and then the certificates are emailed.

I would have said Citricos last month, but had a fantastic meal at Flying Fish this month, and put it slightly ahead... at least until I get back to Citricos again. I think a lot of it was down to a fantastic server who really upped the experience for us. This was even a meal with the kids, which makes it even more impressive.
