Best 12 X 12 Album

I have been looking for the "perfect" album and have had no luck. I'm very particular about the page protectors. I don't like the thicker page protectors as I can see a "film" on them and they seem to dull the pictures. I've looked at Archivers, Michaels and home business Close to My Heart. And I'm afraid the creative memories pages with my pages would be too thick and break the protectors. I would love any suggestions. Thanks so much.

LMK if you find any! I only like the CM page protectors b/c I can't stand how the other ones 'dull' the pages!!

I love the CM albums, I think they are the best quality. I don't use the white pages with the protectors. I do my pages on "normal" paper and then use the side-loading portrait sleeves. Doing that, my pages are no thicker than any other album. Yes, the CM stuff costs more, but I've been very happy with the look and feel of my albums.

I use CM albums exclusively. I think they are the best quality...so much so I became a consultant 5 years ago to "support my habit"

Only CM albums for me as well- have been using them for over 10 years , and no problems yet.

I was a Forever yours album lover, loved the paged protectors, they were heavy and had that extra part on them so they laided flat when opened.
They unfortunately went out of business. They were bought by some one and started a new company. I haven't tried the new company yet. But I am hoping they stayed the same. Here's a link to the new site. http://www.everafteralbum.com/
I really do like the look of CM and started with them many years ago. I feel these albums stack up to CM and actually surpass them in the fact that they are true 12x12 top loading albums. But they are similar in the fact the spine is removable and is long and made out of very strong material. So the book expans nicely and doesn't show any skimpiness in the spine. They also can be embossed.....I had 2 books done. Even had the spine done and it looks very nice....

I guess it is really personal preference. I have used both CM and Close to My Heart. I prefer the post-bound Close to My Heart albums. I like how the pages turn easier. I also like their page protectors better because I have split several CM page protectors. I still buy a LOT of CM merchandise, just not their albums.

Have you tried the new side loading CM pages? They are different then the portrait sleeves. The side loading pages are true 12x12. I have started my newest album with them and I really like how the feel and the pages seem to lay flatter then traditional CM pages.

Thank you for all of your help. I just got the side-load page protectors from CM. I hope they will not tear.
