Besides Disney

This question is from the mother of a college student. Besides Disney or anywhere in Orlando where would you like to go with some friends for 4 or 5 days? Son missed beach trip w/buddies because of death in family and now a couple of other friends want to do something before they head back to school. Just kind of wondering what some of your ideas are.

Only in Florida, or any state, would they be flying or driving? Give us a few more details. Their age, how many are going? Adults? How much do they want to spend?

It looks like they'll be driving. The original trip was to Gulf Shores. Now the boys 19-20 that couldn't go to the beach are talking about Chicago to see a Cubs game. They've also been to Dallas for a weekend during Christmas break and I thought they might go back there. Also the beach is still a possibility. Some of the girls in their group are headed for PC Beach. I just thought some of you might throw out some different ideas.

2 weeks ago I went on a 4 day trip to New York City with 5 of my friends. We drove there from Ohio, and stayed in an Embassy Suites in New Jersey, because it was a lot cheaper than staying in Manhattan. We did all the touristy things, saw a Broadway show, went to a Yankees game, etc. We had a blast just exploring the city.

I just did a weekend in Montreal with a bunch of friends...idk if they'd want to go that far north though.

I'm 19 and my friends and I always go to the beach for a few days together. Its a cheap trip but still a blast to go on. I live in New England so we most likely end up either down Cape Cod or in Maine at Old Orchard. Also have been to New York and had a blast although its a bit more ex*****ve than the beach.
