Bert! Bert!....has anyone seen Bert?

My son has been reading these boards with me and has been begging me for two weeks, "Ask them, come on, ask them if they know where to find Bert from Mary Poppins!"

So, Disers, can anyone tell us where to find Bert and make a 7 yr. old very happy (and reinforce his belief that people on these boards know EVERYTHING about Disney.)

Sorry, we have never seen Bert! Even Mary Poppens has been elusive for us! But, we have seen her at the MK a few times.

Did you go to LSU? My DD is going in the Fall next year, we are really excited about it!

well in the parade at M.G.M we saw them and i remember i had my picture with him and mary and i think hes one of the characters in the character breakfeast in grand floridian
im not sure about the hotel one though

I saw Bert with Mary Poppins in 2 different places - once in front of the hat at MGM and once near the teacups in MK. Good Luck finding him!

We have seen them several times at the Grand Floridian. I think it was at breakfast.

As you might imagine given my DIS name, this is an issue near and dear:

At WDW, we have seen Bert at 1900 Park Faire with Mary, and on a float with her in a MK parade 7 years ago. I've heard he has made rare appearances with the magical nanny at Great Britain in Epcot as well, but haven't seen him there myself.

No certainty about how frequently he shows up at any of these locations, but I would recommend contacting guest services and putting them on the case when you arrive.

I'm afraid I've never heard of him appearing solo, doing chalk pavement pictures, selling kites or sweeping chimneys or the like. More likely he's off on a Jolly 'oliday!

Maybe with the re-release of Mary Poppins, he will be more in evidence this year! He is my son's new favorite.

Thanks for all of the replies. He's been begging me to check every few minutes, and he keeps reading over my shoulder.

(He was so funny when he first saw some replies.....he kept replying out loud to all of you responders...."Was that the breakfast at GF or the dinner?" "I wonder if he sings?"......)

I haven't seen Bert at MK but, he is indeed at 1900 Park Faire.

We did the character breakfast there in Oct and he wasnt there. Might want to research if there is a specific day he is there. I thought I read something about him only being there on Sundays.

We saw him in 2003 in October with penguins, but not MP right near the castle in Fantasyland - I think! I have no clue how to put a picture on here, but I have one!

We have seen Burt with MP at the carosel in MK. He was just kind of wandering around while most were more interested in MP but my girls ran to queue up for his autograph, they had a great visit.

We have also seen MP and Burt by the entrance of MGM - in the front by the stroller rental. In Epcot we have seen MP on the Character bus as well as in the toystore at the UK pavilion but not Burt.

In each park it pays to take the time to check Guest Relations as they can tell you which characters will be available, where and the approximate times.

When we have gotten at the MK @ apprx 9:30am we have seen Bert. Along with another hard one to find according to these boards recently is Peter Pan & Wendy. They are at the rotary as you walk into the park.(in front of City Hall)

In December we ate at the character breakfast at 1900 PF just so we could get pictures with Mary and Bert. Sure enough, as soon as we were done eating we went into the lobby area and they were sitting on a bench signing autographs and posing for pictures. That's the only place where you can see them both on a regular basis.
