Bert! Bert!....has anyone seen Bert?

January 26-2005, I saw Burt in the "Stars and MotorCars" Parade, with Mary Poppins. I think he's a regular feature in the parade at Disney MGM Studios.

This past September we spotted Bert with Mary Poppins just behind the hat in MGM, near where the handprints in cement are. They were walking pretty fast, so I don't know if they were signing autographs somewhere or were just on their way to the parade or something.

I have found Bert during character signing in front of the MK castle. If there's a character you MUST find, you can go to any cast member and have them call a character hotline to find out when and where the character will be.

I've seen Bert with Mary Poppins by Manns Chinese Theatre a little bit before the Stars and Motor Cars Parade started. I wanted a picture, but they had to get going. ::MickeyMo

I did see Bert and MP behind castle back in Nov 2002. Haven't seen him since but I do know he is listed as appearing at 1900 Park fare befst. freq.

you can always ask a CM to call the CHiP hotline first thing in the morning upon arrival at the parks. They can tell you where he might be, what park and what time. Good Luck!

No Bert for us at the Grand Floridan Mary Poppins meal we went to. :(

Mary Poppins we saw at the GF meal and also the princess breakfast at Akershus- she was so cool there. I still don't know WHAT she whispered to my 2yr old at that time but somehow she talked her into eating breakfast instead of the sucker we let her have (yes, she was so spoiled on that trip... anything to make her happy while the rest of us were riding rides/doing things she couldn't) LOL

In October '02, we rode the carousel with Bert, Mary Poppins, and the penguins! It was the highlight if our day!

We've also seen Bert at the 1900 Park Fair breakfast as the GF.

I hope you find him during your trip!

Yes, you definitely should ask a CM in any park to call and find out where and when you can meet Bert, we did that with Max for my DS and it worked great.

As for Bert, he and Mary have provided one of our funniest and most memorable character interactions. We met Bert and MP in the tent at Toon Town, DD loves all characters but DS (then 6) was very uncomfortable around "face characters" (still is a bit  ).

Anyway, DD (then 9) went forward and met Bert and Mary, Bert asked why DS wasn't coming over. DD said "he is scared of face characters". So Bert slowly, friendly approached DS who was backing himself literally into the corner shaking in his shoes. Mary Poppins said "why, whatever is he afraid of" to DD, then to Bert she called over "Bert, maybe he needs a spoon full of sugar". :rotfl2:

Well DH and I about died of laughter! :rotfl: Bert knelt down and very gently shook hands with DS and had a nice conversation. It was (and still is) the only face character who was able to get my DS to interact. It really was sweet and hysterical at the same time.

Love Bert and Mary Poppins! :sunny:

ME  BERT!!! HE'S MY HOTTY!!! I'M SOOOOOOO IN LOVE!!! :lovestruc

girls, you know we'd be fighting over him if he were real

We saw him in front of the teacups with Mary Poppins 3 years ago. Hopefully we will see him again this year!!!

I took a picture of Bert and Mary Poppins with my DD at MGM, just outside the Beauty and the Beast theater, but that's the only place I've seen Bert.

Isn't Burt on the character boat at the end of Fantasmic! too?

I've only seen Bert once back in 2003 near the Sorcerer's Hat. Haven't seen him since besides the MGM parade.

Not sure if Bert is on the steamboat in Fantasmic. I know Mary and a bunch of Chimneysweeps are on it, but I'm not sure if one of them is Bert.

I have seen Bert (w/Mary) strolling in Fantasyland around the carousel many many times. I have also ridden on the carousel with them. Unfortunately, my 8yo dd is also deathly afraid of face characters so won't have anything to do with them. :(

One of my encounters with Bert was very magical, but I won't re-tell it here, because it's not very magical in the re-telling. Suffice to say, he made my special day very magical. ;)

I had a dream once where I married Bert and had 17 children. And then I also married Mary Poppins at the same time. I had 5 children with Mary Poppins. And then they divorced me and married each other and the children all disappeared and they had 45 kids and they lived in that Jolly Holiday scene. :rotfl2: I saw Cherry Tree Lane in my dream!! I saw 16, 17, and 18 and saw the ice cream man and Andrew and Miss Lark's garden and the park and the statues and... :goodvibes

We seen Bert & Mary (we got autographs & pics)in front of the Carosel during the Mickeys Christmas Party...In FACT ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL the characters are out for that!

Okay, I'm sorry, but I looked at the title of this thread and for a minute I wondered why so many people were talking about Sesame Street?? :confused3

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Where's Bert? Ask Ernie!

Hmmmm.... last time I saw Bert was at the Breakfast at 1900 Park Fare about 2 years ago.
