Went to University of Delaware today. They put on a great program for prospective students. Very informative.

David did drive last night, but not to the movie. It was getting dark and there was a lot of construction on the highway. He isn't real comfortable with highway driving yet and that's okay by me.

Amy is supposed to go to a sleepover tonight. She just heard from the girls and their little brother was throwing up last night. Their mom says she'll decide this afternoon whether or not to cancel the evening. Since Amy goes to camp on Sunday, I'm not really sure I want her to go, even if brother is back on his feet. I'm afraid the girls will be coming down with it and will pass it on to my little camper. What do you guys think? Amy isn't happy that I am hesitant.

We are trying to decide whether to visit my in-laws tonight or sometime tomorrow. May make a quick trip tonight if Amy stays home, so that tomorrow can be devoted to getting all of her clothes clean and packed.

Wow! Just looked back to figure out where I have to catch up from and I haven't posted for the last 10 pages - haven't you all been chatty?!

Truth is, have been lurking and not really posting, tho' responding to the odd PM. Just feeling quite sick and it is making me a bit down. DBF has a severe ear infection in both ears so is not much better than me either - LOL what a pair!

Anyways, that aside I've got a lot to catch up on so...

LK - LOL! That photo of Logan/Tattoo Boy was great and really cheered me up (tho' Im thinking it had the opposite effect for you (at least at first!))... In my magazine this week was a letter from a girl. She had had a tattoo done on her 'behind' (for want of a better word) with her fiance's name for their 13th anniversary... unfortuanately the artist spelt his name PUAL not PAUL. LOL! There was a photo along with it (just of the tattoo, don't worry!) and it really made me chuckle!!

Gail - I loved the news story about the 'thong-thief' so thanks for that, it also cheered me up

SB - Glad to hear that everyone was okay and the tree did not hurt anyone or anything - the most important factor of course!

MANY BELATED CONGRATULATIONS to Sarah on getting the DM placement and MANY BELATED CONGRATULATIONS to David for passing his driving test - I am very jealous!! As David is my nametwin's DS I'm going to take it as a good omen for *my* driving test which (highly worryingly) is coming up some time in the near future

Many thanks to Steph and DixieDreamer for organising that DD will be a RiddleCon buddy for me! I'm very excited by this idea and glad I won't miss out on all your festivities!

Diane - My best wishes are with you at this worrying time. I'm praying for a better diagnosis for you, or at least that you will recover quickly! We are all here for you, whenever you need us and I'm sure you know that by now!

Lars - Also thinking of you and your family and hoping your FIL is on the road to recovery soon!

Wow! This'll be one long post

Unfortunately I received some very bad news tonight. Some close family friends' son got married last year and before we left for FL we found out from his new wife that she was pregnant. I can't begin to tell you the whole story behind this family and why this was even more of a joyous event than perhaps normally... but tonight I found out that she lost the baby last week (she was 12 weeks gone). I'm heartbroken for them. They are only a few years older than Jon and I. The worst thing of all was that the doctors told them the baby could well have died up to four weeks ago. I am shocked they would say this to them

So yeah, sorry to end on a bad note but this has me pretty stunned and upset. Going to try and get some sleep now. The couple themselves are going away for a week to get some space but perhaps after that I shall try and visit with them, just as a friend.

I'm excited that DoubleD will be your Riddlecon buddy. I had the honor of being hers during DisCon II in December and she filled me in on every last detail.

It's a beautiful summer night here. Matt is at a friends for dinner & swimming......EB and my "other daughter" Arianna are playing here....and the Sox will be beating the Yankees this evening!!!!

Today I accomplished business. Pete has decided to go back into contracting, so I had to drive into Phoenix to get his contractors licence renewed. I am such a good business partner. He gave notice at the store today, he just likes being his own boss and doing his own thing. He loves what he does, so it's a good thing. I think I will make himtake me out to dinner tonight, and NOT chinese, Chili's, or Red Lobster. Maybe Damon's Grill or the usual Mexican.

What was that? Did I hear the call of the Frozen Margaritia????
