Lars - the sound was so loud - I thought a car hit something outside. The neighbors were all too happy it didn't hit their house or pool.

As far as the tattoos on stomachs - I've had 2 kids too and the last place anyone wants to see a tattoo is on my stomach! I'd prefer one right above my ankle. Maybe a shamrock.

How scary! Thank goodness no one got hurt!! The other day, a 52 yr old woman was walking with her adult daughter and was struck by a fallen tree and killed instantly!! Talk about a "freak accident"!!

Lorraine, I think I have an explanation for you as to why the tree limb fell. My mom had it happen on a Bradford Pear.

When the tree limbs form a very deep cleft such as your picture shows, there is a "well" that can hold water in it. Over time, that area of the tree weakens significantly - even though the limb is alive, the stress point is weak. One day, the weight of the limb just pulls it down. Your limb was huge; it probably could no longer bear the weight of the limb plus the heavy rains.

This, apparently, is a very common malady in Bradford pear trees....and although yours isn't that type, it has that same large V in it with branches growing out of it.

Luckily, no one was hurt! My mom's fell over a busy road and she was lucky it didn't hit a car, a pedestrian or kids. It could be a real tragedy!

I am clueless on the riddle, but I don't care much. It is getting close to my vacation, so I am getting very distracted! TOday I am packing all my outer clothes and seeing how much room I have left. The under clothes are going in a seperate bag. Gina, I agree with the rain weakening theory, and it was a huge branch and there was a swing on it, so even tho the kiddies were light, the pressure did not help. I am still wondering if my 50 foot eucayptus is going to fall during a wind storm. We did have it pruned, one of those huge branches like SBs.

Drinks!!!! Yes we need drinks, I'll have an African Sunrise, a great eye opener at Boma.

My son has a tattoo under his navel, he said it was painful. He has one over his navel, he said it was painful, too. I have to loose 50 more pounds before I would go there. And I want a tuck, too!

Thanks for all the good thoughts. He passed with flying colors. There is much celebrating in Norman today.

I think we are all going to go to the drive-in movie tonight. They are showing a double feature of Daddy Daycare and POTC. That'll be our third viewing of POTC. DD is excited! We have to do something tonight to celebrate and the kids have never been to a drive-in.

This will be a busy day. I'll try to check back this afternoon.

CS, I just got a really cute top at Mervyns, but I don't know if you have them there. Kohls, either. Target always has fun summer clothes, too. I like the sleeveless blouses with the tie waist, very comfy and stylish.

MerryPoppins, we need the picture of DS in "his" car, with a huge smile! Congrats to him.

Carol, I know Sarah is going to get the job. When Pete was Drum Major, he went to DM Camp, and loved it. He got loaned a baton from the Air Force Band DM, and was in Nixon's Inaugural Parade. The benefits of living in that area. We know where Carol will be every Friday night this fall.
