I know this may be the wrong place, but we have been on a few Disney cruises and we are now looking into a Bermuda cruise out of NY. Anyone have any information, opinions on the ships etc that may help us.

What time of year is great to go and yet the slower season?
Is there a Discussion board regarding it?

Any help would be great.
Thank you.

Norwegian has a ship out of NY that goes to Bermuda in season.
Check out Cruise @ddicts. You can find out a lot about it over there and they have very nice people on their boards that would be more than happy to help you.

Happy sailing :earsgirl:

DH and I just cruised this past summer, NYC to Bermuda, aboard Royal Caribbean's Nordic Empress. Starting next summer, the NE will be doing alternating 8-night and 6-night cruises to Bermuda. This ship is going to be undergoing a MAJOR refurbishment soon, updating it, adding new restaurants, and it will be "stretched" to make it even bigger. Also, starting next summer, Royal Caribbean's Nordic Empress and their Voyager of the Seas will be sailing from a brand new port (brand new to Royal Caribbean that is, out of BAYONNE, NEW JERSEY. Currently it's an old Navy (I believe) shipyard). SO for people in NJ, it'll be even that much more convenient to sail from.

Please go to cruisecritic.com It's an excellent web site for all cruise lines, EXCEPT for Disney, in which case these DIS boards are far superior. They do have a Disney Cruise Line board, but there's no where near the info on there that you can find on here.

Happy planning!! :sunny:

P.S. If you click on the link below and go to my "family vacations" web site, scroll down to our Royal Caribbean Cruise, and you'll find our pictures and a review I wrote.

Try cruisecritic.com. Great site and message boards for cruising.
Off the top of my head,NCL,RCCL and Celebrity sail to Bermuda.
Ther emay be others. Several friends and family have sailed the Celebrity ships to Bermuda and liked it so much they've repeated a few years in a row. We are booked on the NCL Crown this coming August,I've heard its beautiful.

I sailed to Bermuda out of NYC in 1997, and it was GREAT!! We sailed on on the NCL Dreamward. It has since been stretched and re-named the Dream. It was a great time, and I'd definately recommend it!!

Just wanted to add that we also, My dh and I sailed on the Nordic Empress out of NYC in June of 2000. I highly recommend Bermuda. Horseshoe Beach is the most beautiful beach I have ever seen. The beach is salmon pink and you feel like your walking on powder. RCCL is a WONDERFUL. We had no complaints what so ever. Actually my husband and I would love to go back again some day. Another thing I forgot to add was our friends just took a cruise on Carnival out of Philadelphia to Bermuda and they also had a great time.:Pinkbounc
