BEO Paranoia

I got an email from our planner last night saying that she almost has the BEO done for our Wishes wedding. I am in a total panic meltdown mode I am so afraid of the number...

don't panic! You have more than enough time to reduce it. We reduced ours over 10K and (I think) we still had a gorgeous day! They always aim high knowing you will reduce it. breathe!

I know.. and Maxine put stuff on there knowing we would take it off but because we're paying for ourselves we really have to keep the number as close to the minimum as possible. But we're having a small wedding. No bridal party. It's looking like less than 50 guests.

I am driving myself crazy!!!!

I hear ya... I'm stressing too! I received an email from our floral planner, Michelle and was told we will get our BEO's this week. I know we aimed high and can take stuff out... But I don't wanna!

we got our floral BEO yesterday, from our planning session last week - i added things in i'd be willing to remove for budget costs, but overall, i was not unhappy with the number. We're still going to take some things out, but it was much less painful than i expected. Still waiting on our event BEO from our planner, i have a feeling i'll need a glass of wine with that. But again, we added things in that we're not super committed to, so we have room to cut and edit.

It is really difficult especially when considering taxes and service charges. We are also having <50 guests.. and I definitely know it's possible to stick to a budget but you have to be willing to know exactly what you want and what you are willing to do with and without.

We haven't gotten our official number yet (they apparently have an issue with printing/IT), but we got some sort of outline with costs filled in here and there. From what I could add up, it was already over budget... even though I know that a) It's a Disney premium you are paying for and b) weddings are naturally inflated. I hope you have an easier time cutting costs than I do!

We got our BEO today!!! We haven't sat down to really look at it but it seems pretty good to me... We might have to cut a couple things but not much. I'll post it to my PJ sometime tomorrow.

I was a little shocked when we initially got our BEO back but we worked with our planner and she helped us reduce it. I cut lots of things out and she gave us lots of ideas on how to get the same effect for less money. I didn't feel like I lost out on the day, it all went perfectly. Try not to panic there is always something that can be done.

Have you considered an outside florist? If you did you would not need to cut things. You get so much more than what disney offers. When I got my floral BEO back I was in shock. My outside florist charged me 1/4 of what disney charged and her work was outstanding.

Who did you use? I've gotten quotes from Jonathan's and In Bloom florists. I asked for a proposal from Petals by Design and they were very nasty to me in their email so they're off the list.

At this point, the only place you can use an outside florist for decor is at indoor convention center venues (i.e., the Wedding Pavilion + various ballrooms) and for personal floral (bouquets, boutonnieres, toss petals and aisle petals if you or someone in your party puts them down) at any location. However, they would not have access to any in-park venue, so you would need to get your bouquets, petals, etc. from them before you entered the park.

We received our BEO this morning, (i was suprised we got it this early actually) i was very excited until i saw the total figure!Lol

I didnt take into account a couple of things including service charges so we have ended up about $800ish over budget. Not a huge amount but hey every penny counts at the moment!!

Like other posters though i refuse to take anything out so we will just have to be that extra bit tighter on spending for the next couple of months x

I'm freaking out too! My floral was right around $2,000, and there's about $400 I can cut off of that, but I'm really scared about my overall... my wedding planner said she would have it to me in another 2 weeks tops. My worry is the guests... I'm having around 80!! Now, 10 of those are very small children, but still, I wish more people were rsvping no, lol!!!
