We had decided to spend the day at Epcot, doing some of the attractions that we hadn't seen and repeating a few favorites. After seeing the Living Seas, attempting to see the Wonders of life pavillions, which was closed, it was pretty obvious that it was time to think about park hopping. After a bite to eat at the Electric Umbrella, we headed over to Magic Kingdom. You know that feeling you get when you walk into the middle of a party, and you just can't get with the program? That's how i felt at Magic Kingdom that afternoon. The crowds were a bit overwhelming after the leisurely pace at Epcot, and it seemed hotter than at Epcot. But Benji wanted to be there, so we headed over to Fantasy land. Walking down Mainstreet USA toward the castle gives me such a lump in my throat. Rick and the kids just laugh at me when i get teary over Disney. This trip they had a lot to laugh about.
The first ride we went on was Pooh, then we did the Snow White ride, then the carousel, then the "Ephalents" as Grace fondly refers to them.
Then we took a break at Ariell'es Grotto while the kids played in the fountain.
After that, we headed over to Philharmagic. Oh, what an awesome attraction. This was the coolest thing that Disney has had in a long time. Of course I cried. The liquid pixie dust was going full force. I just couldn't believe it. Definitely a favorite.

We were leaving the gift shop when we felt the first rain drops. You remember in day two, how Rick thought it would be fine leaving the ponchos in the locker? You know that old saying about insanity being when you do the same things over and over expecting different results? That's all that needs to be said about that.

So, while Rick made his daily swim to the locker to retrieve our ponchos, we took cover in Tinkerbell's treasures. Oh, my, this store was quite pleasing to our little princess. princess:
She found many desirable baubles that seemed to be made just for her liking. Grace especially liked how Tinkerbell "flew" the shop. The boys were bored stiff by this time. Thankfully Rick made it back with the ponchos. We put the ponchos on and headed out. Wouldn't you know it, within ten minutes of our leaving, the rain stopped.

Josh and Benji wanted to do Haunted Mansion and I desperately needed a Dole Whip, so we headed toward Adventure land and Liberty Square. I have to say, Dole Whips are the greatest treat ever invented. There are times when I crave a dole whip with sprinkles. Nothing says Disney like Dole Whip or a cup of Pineapple Juice with lots of ice. Rick thinks the Dole Whip floats could use a little rum.

After doing the Haunted mansion, we decided to head back to Epcot for Illuminations. Honestly, I was ready to head back to the village, but onto Epcot.

Rick and the kids decided to check out a couple of nations while i staked out a good spot for Illuminations. I found this quaint little bench and I sat down and waited. I thought what a wonderful secret i must have discovered, because nobody was around me. After about ten minutes, few people sat close, but not the crwod like I thought, so i was feeling pretty good.

Rick and little minions came back with some fish and chips and a big glass of Lebatz and a coke, so we were set for the evening, all the while congratulating each other on such great seats. Nice and comfy with these pretty trees, boy we were feeling good. Then Illuminations began. We heard rather that saw the whole thing due to the lovely trees. Rick and i just looked at each other and laughed. Actually we saw the top half of Illuminations. It was pretty spectactular from what we saw.

We took our time leaving. The kids really enjoyed the lit up sidewalks and the castmembers saying goodbye in their native languages. At this point, I was so tired, I was happy to say goodbye in any language!!!
