Aw, the sauce is the best part! I just made some last Sat. night to put on flank steak. Anyway, they put it on top of the skewer so I would think you could ask for it off. Or maybe ask for it in a little cup. That way she could taste it and see, or someone else could have. I haven't tried that, but I would ask.
We've only had it once on our first visit 5 years ago. I have to say that neither DH or I were fans- too much sauce for us as well. DD has always been a picky eater and the only protein she would get on our DL trips were the occasional chicken nugget (how nutritious, right?), yogurt and cheese. But recently she has really become a fan of steak. Medium rare is her choice
So I'm trying to find a healthier snack to break up her 2 churro a day habit! But I know she definately won;t do the sauce as she is pretty plain jane- no ketchup, no nugget sauce, no marinara with cheese sticks. She doesn't even eat mac and chees OR spaghetti! I know- crazy child!
But thanks for responding PinkBudgie! I'll see if she'll give it a try!
Well, good luck with that! I've been fortunate that both my boys have always been adventerous eaters. They loved salsa at age four and told their pre-K teacher their favorite pizza topping was onions!
For me, I hit a point where out of the blue I liked that sort of thing. As a child I didn't, and somewhere around my teens I suddenly liked it.
White Water Snacks also has a very good chicken sandwhich. You can split it and ask for nothing on it. It has a good size piece of white meat on it.
