Benefits of Concierge?

Poohluvrs, there was something posted a month or so ago about how concierge guests are handled with DME. I'm not sure if I'm remembering the post correctly, but I think they said that when you arrive at MCO and check in with the DME representative, they call ahead to the resort and let them know you're on the way. I wouldn't imagine that they track the bus or wait under the Port Cochere until it arrives though. I would simply go to the bell services desk that's located near the drop off and have them call for you. Again, it's based on the resort as to whether you can go to concierge on your own, or need to be escorted by bell services or a greeter.

Garada, all the times that we've stayed at RPC, there was either a concierge greeter waiting for us, or one arrived shortly there after. It was very nice.

One perk of being a concierge guest at the POLY is room location. (Dont' know about the other deluxes, though.) We've stayed at POLY several times and Poly LVC is the only way to be guaranteed to get a room that looks out over the beach. Most concierge rooms with lagoon view also have views of the castle. If you are not in the concierge building but rather have a regular lagoon view room you are guaranteed a water view but that could be beach or marina. In other words, in our opinion the prime water views are through the concierge building and my husband is willing to pay the extra $$$ for that view. Last year our room overlooked the water and we had a straight-on view of the castle. It was absolutely beautiful!!!

We also have 3 boys and the $$$ that we save on breakfast and snacks is worth the extra $$$ for concierge.

I totally agree! I have 2 teenage boys and just having the breakfast alone and the drinks is well worth the benefits of concierge and it pays for itself, never mind all the other great benefits!!

Disneyw/kids, there is no guarantee that they can get every reservation you request, but I think you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who's been let down. They've even managed to get us the CRT Princess breakfast, last minute after we arrived at the resort.

This will be my first stay at Poly GVC, so i guess my main ? is do I just tell them that I want CRT for lunch and a time frame and let them try to book it or do I still call at the 90 Day mark.

From what I understand, the Poly does a wonderful job with pre-planning assistance. Are you booked in concierge yet? If you are, then you should definitely drop them an e-mail, introduce yourself and get the ball rolling. Some of the resorts send out a helpful packet of information and I think the Poly is one of them. Pre-planning will set up a personal itinerary for you. This can include dining, tickets, tours, cruises, etc. Anytime you want to, just drop them an e-mail with a request and they will add it in. When the appropriate time comes for them to make the reservation, your request will be transferred to a confirmation. If you want CRT for breakfast on Dec 8th at 8am, just let them know. If you're flexible with your time, give them a range. They'll put in exactly what you ask for though. You can request an e-mail copy of your intinerary at any time. Before the 90 day window, they will be pending items and following that, you should see confirmation numbers filled in.
