OP, the fact that we could have been onboard, getting value from what we paid (though our upgrade to concierge was about $300 back in Feb 2013, not much at all, relatively), but instead we were on a bus leaving POR after noon just bugged us. Er, me. My extended family drove in from their home and they were onboard nearly 2 hours before we even got there. Ugh. Felt like we were playing catch up the rest of the SHORT cruise.
We haven't taken the
DCL bus in (from the resort) since. We've taken the bus from the airport and we've driven in. DH works hard for our money, I work to save it, and getting value is something that I find to be very important. So I want to be on that ship for as long as I'm allowed to be. And the bus from the resorts doesn't give me that.
