I agree....Emma's gotten the FluMist the last two years, and it seems to work great. And even if it didn't, it's certainly a lot less traumatic than geting the shot!

Laura, it's an inhalable version of the flu vaccine. Basically, they squirt it up each nostril and you breathe it into your system instead of sticking you with a needle. But it can only be used by people who are 3 and up and who don't have any health complications.

Crazy day!
Shirts are almost done. I ironed them for 3 minutes instead of "at least 2 minutes" and let them cool for over an hour instead of a couple minutes till "cool to the touch" The backing pulled off in almost one piece. There's a little stuck, but I'll peel that off later.

DD took her drivers test and passed this morning, so she's now a licensed driver Came home from school and asked to drive to the grocery store and is eagerly awaiting picking up her brother from the middle school basketball game - how long do you think that'll last?

add to that, I've got a client that booked yesterday; today we upgraded her package to deluxe and is trying to got to 3 sitdowns a day, with CRT, HRRD & Mickey's BBQ among them It's a 1st visit, can you tell? I've had 17 emails from her today, and they only stopped coming because I told her I'd be out of the office the rest of the day for DD's bday.

Is it time to drink yet?

I had giggle when I saw your post. You see - us Floridians wish for the cooler weather to come in October. Especially after a really hot summer.

You should have better luck with it being warmer at the beginning of October though.

I know it sounds weird that I want the warmer weather. Believe me, I was there in August this year and it was HOT! So I definitely welcomed the cooler weather this trip. I think it's just that it's starting to get colder here and I want the warm weather now! And I've just had some weirdly cold days on my last 2 F&W trips.

Guess what I have picked up, yep the lovely swine flu! Apparently not in WDW either, sometime after here at home. My dr really jacked me up with lots of meds, I also have a bad sinus infection.


Chelsi, We've adjusted our last several F&W trips a week or so every year trying to find that "sweet" spot. Last year '08 we did the end of Oct, got some really cold temps, 1st year '06, we did the first week & got the scorching temps. In '07 we did the 2nd week & it was still too hot. This year the 15-22nd the 1st 2 days we had super, super high humidity then we got a bit of the cold, but we were happy with it, quite a relief from the steamroom.

I was there last year that last week in Oct -- sounds like you were there the same week. It was way colder than the 2 cooler days I had this trip. It got into the 40s a couple of nights, one of which was our MNSSHP night -- we froze our butts off! It actually snowed at home the week I was there and it never snows that early in NJ. It was some kind of crazy cold front that impacted a good part of the East Coast that week.

I guess you can't really predict how it will be so I think I'm going to try my luck with a week or so earlier for next year. I can book my DVC reservation really soon and I guess I can always change it if I change my mind

The weather was crazy this year and I didn't mind the cool down! It was just a little shocking - I can't remember needing a jacket once before in October! I think that time of year you just never know!

If you think those few days were bad this year you should have been there last year (see above comment...) It was cold! I don't think it even hit 80 the entire week. I couldn't even wear shorts!

I've definitely found October to be pretty unpredictable with all kinds of weather in just one short week! It helps if you have a few drinks though -- we found it a good excuse to warm us up last year


I hope we hear something from Brenda about her mom soon. Sending some more good thoughts their way

Robin, Gosh I do remember how cold it got last year! One evening we had light misty rain & it was freakin cold! We stomped through it for awhile & then just gave up & headed back to the warmth of the hotel.

It doesn't sound wierd to me. I'm originally from the Bronx and would feel the same as you do.

And, Epcot is one of the worst parks to be in when it's cold. Marcel and I went during Christmas one year and we froze! I think it is because of the lake - the wind seems to whip around it and make it even colder.

Now, the Sunday when we did the Moonstruck demo, I thought it was way too chilly.

Sometimes things get me a little rattled and handing the car keys to my daughter yesterday did not make the rest of the easy I booked almost everything for my client with no problem, including dinner at CRT and HDDR. All close to the times she requested, breakfast at 8:30am dinner at 5:30pm.

DH called HHI resort this morning to ask about a campfire--the regular one is scheduled for Friday nt--so they are going to do a private campfire for us I'm leaving the details to them, but there was talk of s'mores, silliness and possibly even balloons! How cool is that?

Good evening and happy Friday, friendies.

First of all I want to thank everyone from the very bottom of my heart for your good thoughts, kind words, and prayers. I'm humbled and grateful for the friendship and concern you've shown these past few days ... I don't know exactly what I did to deserve such a gift but I appreciate it more than I can ever adequately express.

As for Grimmie ... she was sent home earlier today with a fist full of prescriptions, a new diet, and an exercise plan. She had two heart attacks - one last Friday and one Tuesday night. Turns out that she had 99% blockage in the primary left artery - the ones that doctors like to refer to as the widowmaker. She's lucky that she didn't end up with a starring role at her own funeral this week. Her heart sustained about 35% damage and she will be limited to moderate exercise going forward but we're hopeful that if she sticks to her diet and gets in the walking she needs to get in on a daily basis that she will be around to gamble for years and years to come.

She has to be feeling better because she asked the cardiologist today when she could go back to the casino.

I'm going to post this on the review thread too, so that I don't miss anyone. But thanks again to all of you - you're the bestest food-n-booze lovin' friendies a girl could ask for!
