Question for my Canadian Friendies....

How do get to Disney? Do you fly from Canada or if you're near the border do you drive over and fly from a US city? If not, have you considered it?

I'm asking because I'm working on a quote for a lead that is from Toronto. Flights are ridiculously expensive from there but not so bad from Buffalo. It was $200-300 from Buffalo and $650 from Toronto depending on the dates :scared1: I was really surprised it was that much more.

Chelle...

Most of my friends come across to Buffalo and take Southwest...

Hope that helps...

Hey, Chelle, I remember reading at least two trip reports in the last year where the families drove over the border and flew from Buffalo because it was so much cheaper. I'm sure they're not the only ones. Hopefully someone closer to Canada can answer you. :lmao:

Where is everybody today? OD'ed on Halloween candy???

I have returned from the dark side of swineflu victorious!:woohoo: Turns out all you need to beat it is 16 hours of sleep a day, chicken noodle soup, pedialyte, and Colin Firth movies. Behold the healing power of Mr. Darcy!

Michelle- I'm sorry that you aren't feeling well.

don't you know that Colin Firth will cure anything???

& just so everyone knows... I was in a car accident 21 years ago this week (which may be why I'm hurting right now... in my head... :rotfl:) I have nerve damage from something called Thoraxic outlet Syndrome... mostly it's like hitting your funny bone all the time with some migraines and general body aches in for measure...

But sometimes my body just hates me... REALLY hates me... and every part of me hurts... that's when you add in the Fibromyalgia... (and Bendy...you thought YOU won the "How Many ickies can I have Wrong" contest... :rotfl:)

I can be wiped out for weeks like this... alot happens when the weather changes... which it is now...

So I will probably be swacked out for a couple of more days - what I really need is a nice massage and a hot tub... & chocolate for the first time in 32 days...

Thanks for all the kind thoughts... I'll be better by next spring... ;)

Honey, I get it; I really do.:hug::hug:

There is much nacho hat hilarity taking place on the current food review thread ... pictures of drunk people wearing hats. It's wrong and yet it's so right. :rotfl2: Need a laugh? Come take a look!

Welcome home Robin! :goodvibes

And thank you for coming to the meet - it was terrifc meeting you and everyone else. We also had a great time at the Moonstruck demo the next day ... good times indeed!

And thanks again for the wine ... it made the return trip safely and we're just waiting for my tastebuds to come back so that we can give it a try. :thumbsup2

It was so nice to finally put names with faces -- the meet was a lot of fun! The Moonstruck demo was fun too ... although seems like I missed out on a lot of good times at the Ditch that week ... I must have gone on the wrong day :confused3 I didn't see any DISers when I was there ... unless you were already all passed out :lmao:

Hope you enjoy the wine! It was the same one they were selling in the festival center so I had to try some -- it was mighty tasty!

Robin!

Jason and I loved meeting you and are so sorry all plans for our ADR's went down the drain so we could not meet you for another drink!

If you are ever our way let us know!

Chelsi:goodvibes

Chelsi, It was so great meeting you too and what a bummer that we did not get to meet up again -- seems we were never in the same place at the same time:sad2: And I missed you guys at the Ditch too!

Well, there's always next year... I'll actually be back in Disney the first week in May -- I just realized I will be there for Cinco de Mayo this year so I'll just have to celebrate at the Ditch! I'm trying to plan my F&W trip for next fall now too. Only 11 more months to go ... or something like that.

Hope we can meet again soon :goodvibes

Laura, sorry to hear you have been so sick -- hope you are feeling better soon :)

Thank you both, that's what I was thinking but wanted to make sure I wasn't imagining things again

I need to plan a trip somewhere for 3ish weeks in June. I hate being at the mercy of the school calendar/dh's work calendar.:headache:

I started to research Nepal, but apparently that is not a good time to visit.

Maybe it will finally be time to go to Ireland. We only have cancelled that trip (and lost airfare) 3 times....coming from the states we will not be doing that...

 Gentle hugs.
When can you get that massage and time in the hot tub?

Thanks everyone... :grouphug: :grouphug:

I did my stretches...

I've hired a little green furry butt of a temp for work tomorrow... (he can type an amazing 2 words per soap opera...)

& I've decided that I think I need a vacation... All I need is cash... :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Time to go vote for Donny Osmond... :lovestruc

I would have worn a Nacho Hat. I mean, I've put on the tea cozy as a Pope Hat at the afternoon tea. Nacho hats would be no big deal. ;)

Loved the photos, btw. Nacho Hat Envy was my favorite.

I'm probably going to update my review thread later tonight with yet more festival noshing and the demo by Mr. Muppet Jerky. Aka Todd English™. I had to trademark him, with or without his restaurant name! :rolleyes1

The only problem is that I will have to censor myself, as Chelsi and Catherine well know. I think I'll keep the bit about Pam Smith having the hots for him, though.

I just did my Todd English update Lori! It will be fun to see when you say! I left out all the meaty mushroom comments for you to provide! :lmao:

If you book certain Adventures By Disney vacations (including Ireland) you can get a free 3 night Disney cruise :thumbsup2

Hi friendies.

Asking for your good thoughts for Grimmie, who is in the hopsital this evening with what appears to be a mild heart attack & artery blockage. We're still waiting for final test results and then we'll move forward from there. I talked to her and she sounds pretty good (cranky, like a good Grimmie should) but it's still worrisome.
