Elin, that was seriously cool!

Elin that looked WONDERFUL! The eyes on your napkin did look like "the money you should be saving from Geico" !
What a cool event!
Great minds! I was thinking the same thing!

Sounds yummy, Brenda. I am glad you were feeling well enough to go!
It was great. But I didn't take the camera this time ... felt like I had enough to worry about with all the recent WDW stuff. But I'll tell you ... as good as it was I really wish I'd brought it. Ah well, next time.
And I am finally starting to feel better ... still hacking but not as much. I also decided to stop taking the Mucinex altogether and that seems to have helped a lot.![]()
Last night we saw Zombieland ... very funny and very gross, too. If you liked Shaun of the Dead I think you will also like Zombieland. We thought it highly entertaining.
Afterwards we had dinner at a local seafood place called Bristols. They were offering a fixed price 4-course menu for $30 per person. The food was great and we couldn't beat the price.
First course was potato gnocchi with mushrooms and corn bisque. It was a little too shroomy for me but Jay, quoting Hitler, said it was "exquisite."
Second course was seared tuna with fresh greens and grilled 'taters. The tuna was perfect! I've never seen tuna this good in Stinktown.
Third course was a petite fillet mignon with a big ol' king crab claw, mashed taters, and asparagoose.
Dessert was lovely vanilla bean ice cream with a raspberry jam tart.
Jay did a CA wine pairing with his meal (4 wines for $16 ... wow!) and I did a French wine pairing with mine (4 wines for $25 ... still wow!).
All in all a very satisfying and most tasty meal - we will definitely visit them again!![]()
That sounds fantastic!
I had 60 full size candy bars to hand out last night and ran out by 7:30 (started at 6)Since we were childless and out of candy, Jon & I went for sushi
Went to a little place just up the street, doesn't look like much from the outside (or inside to be honest) but it was really good. It was the 2nd time we tried this place and this time we only got sushi. We ordered 4 different specialty rolls to share and while we waited for them, the chef sent out not 1; but 2 different on the house appetizers! The first was a heart shape with spicy tuna and the 2nd was the coolest thing! It was a crab, salmon & tuna 'salad' served on a shell with blue fire on the plate. It looked amazing and tasted even better!
The rolls were:
a spicy tuna roll, spicier than many I've had before so Jon liked it more than I did.
Dynamite - Salmon, crab, fried and rolled in rice with masago. This was like a roll inside a roll and was to die for good!
Dragon - tempura shrimp with eel & avocado on top w/eel sauce
Osaka - spicy tuna, tempua flake, shrimp eel avocado on top. For some reason ours was served with salmon, not tuna.
We also ordered hot sake, but sent it back. It tasted and smelled like vinegar, blechThat was the only downside of the evening.
The service was great, our tummies were full when we left and our total was $33!
