hey everyone ... thanks for the good wishes and hugs. I'm still at home but, pardon the expression, really feel like crap.
I opted not to go the ER yesterday because I decided I'd be more comfortable in my own house ... I'll probably call my doctor's exchange today and find out what he wants me to do and go from there.
On a side note ... I'm dying for some coffee. When this stuff flares I'm supposed to stay away from caffeine because it aggravates the inflammation but now I've got one of those java-withdrawl headaches.![]()

pretty much told to keep doing what I've been doing, especially since the most alarming symptom from yesterday seems to have gone away. So, liquid diet and soft food until I feel like I can push back on the goblin ... stop taking the naproxen and advil - the thing that sucks about that is that Crohns causes joint problems (like arthritis, which I have in hands and hips) and tylenol just doesn't work as well for the discomfort but it's either that or risk more bleeding and ulceration ... get plenty of rest ... blah blah blah.
I did take Chelle's advice and have been slowly drinking half-coffee half-skim milk and that seems to be helping the headache.
I guess I'll just have to dial back the food intake for the next couple of weeks ... if there's a good thing in all of this it's that it happened over a 3-day weekend and a good month before vacation. As long as it doesn't get worse I should be back to my normal gluttony self by October.
I've actually been pretty lucky all things considered ... I had a really long remission period until this popped on Satuday. Just time to be a little more careful ... I have a feeling there is another colonoscopy in my not-to-distant future.Oh well, the test is a breeze and my doctor uses great drugs!
Thanks again for the good vibes ...![]()
Oh bendy...i hope you feel back to normal again soon...that is NO FUN!!!
But Hey, maybe the mighty crohn is just striking out now to free you up for a crohnnie free week at Food and Wine..you certainly deserve it!
Slow thread today. We are nothing without our maker!Hope you're doing better Brenda!
I was out most of the day, cat sitting for my brother, and helping my Mom with various blah-blah. I got home @ 3:30PM after picking up dinner and there was a message from the place I've been interviewing with for the better part of a 2 months. They want to offer me a job, but had to leave a message because I wasn't at home. Their home office is on Central Time, so I had to leave a message and wait until tomorrow to hear what the job is and what I'll get paid.
It's especially frustrating, because they know my vacation is two weeks away, and I had my first phone interview with them almost 2 months ago.Everyone was on vacation at various times and I got passed around like a plate of cheese at a mouse convention. So I'm going to banana dance with joy, but I don't really know what I'm dancing for yet. It'll still be better than what I'm doing now though.

Glad you're finaly on the mend, Brenda!
So, what's up with dining reservations now letting you book before 6 a.m.???? I was reading about people being able to book at 3, 4, 5:20, etc. so I tried it myself this morning since I've been awake since 3 anyway. The computer was already up at 4:30 to book for Dec. 8! How do I know what time to get up to make reservations a WEEK FROM TODAY?I cannot wait until it goes back to 180 days.
And, I just checked 'Ohana for the heck of it and the only dinner time available for our party (if we were there on 12/8) was 9:35 p.m. WHO is making all these adrs in the middle of the night????? Nothing for Chef Mickey's by the way. I can't imagine what it will be like trying for real!

I'm feeling better today than yesterday and definitely better than Saturday night and Sunday. Still have to go see the GI next week ... I already know where that's going to end up.![]()
