Boozing it up for a week in a week, so I'm drinking Coke Zero this weekend.

thinking toward maybe trying Kouzzina on Aug 29 and Jiko regular menu on Sept. 1.

Right now the biggest decision I have to make is whether to bring my Australian hat to Florida.

I've got Elin's white wine sangria in the fridge, can't wait to start drinking it! DH left while I was making it and told me "it should sit in the fridge for hours for the flavors to blend" I told him I knew that and he laughed because he was just saying it to make sure I didn't drink it all before he got home He might actually have been right on both parts, but I'm not telling him that

Woke up inspired this morning for some odd reason so tonight it Camarones con Arroz Mexicanos (shrimp with rice -Mexican style), tacos for the kids, white wine sangria and I've got angel food cake baking right now for strawberry shortcake.

We are very un-inspired today and can't even decide what we want for dinner. I just ate the cookie off of a Twix bar and threw the rest away--if we left now we might be at your house in time for dinner.

Last time, they registered me at Bruce and Marta's house. They got my DME tags and stuff. It boggles the mind how Disney did that, since neither of them has ever stayed with me at my DVC.

I am watching Andrew Zimmern. He's trying liver mush, which is made with liver and whole pig heads. And they put it on a bun with grape jelly. Yikes

Okay he eats this stuff. But what does he cook? I'm supposed to go to his cooking demo for goodness sake.

Should anyone feel the need, I just posted an update on the blog about our baseball experience last weekend. No food porn so you may not be all that interested but I just felt like doing something a little different.

The next couple of posts will go back to food and booze ...

A review of Thursday night's wine tasting / Reidel glass experience (six thumbs up!)

And will have a review coming soon of the wine / chocolate / jazz thingy we'll be attending next weekend.

I had a glass of La Crema pinot noir last night with my dinner, to celebrate losing 3.6 lbs. this week, after a few weeks of gains and losses. Another .2 lbs. and I'll be a whopping 50 lbs. lighter than I was a week before Thanksgiving. But for now, I'm telling people I lost 50 lbs. Not 49.8 lbs.




I'll probably post my total loss again the week before my Gluttoberfest trip, and then share the Aftermath when I return.

The weather here is so wonderfully abnormal for the middle of August that we are sitting in the house with all the windows open at 1:30PM in the afternoon.

And I've got this urge to use up the remaining puff pastry in the freezer so I'm going to make raspberry / brie puffs this afternoon once the pastry thaws.

YUM!

We also found an interesting new booze yesterday ... I shall tell you more later, once we've properly tested it. I suspect that it's going to be a winner!
