Is there such a thing? A bench where I can watch Spectromagic from and be able to film? I'm goint to MK on 7/6 for the sole purpose of filming Spectro and Wishes and would like to be able to sit down while doing it because of my knees. Any suggestions would be appreciated. TIA :moped:

There is some seating at the top of the railroad station by the main entrance, which also happens to be the best place to view Spectro. And since you're going for the sole purpose of filming the parade, then you shouldn't mind getting there a couple hours before the parade begins because that's when those seats are gone.

I would love to know this too. Last year we waited an hour on Main Street and my son who was so excited was right on the curb. As soon as they turned the lights down a lady who didn't speak English came and pushed my son and another lady's son out of the way and sat there in OUR space with her daughter, we told her she was rude and asked her to move several times but she ignored us (or couldn't understand) We were furious, it really ruined my sons night, he was devestated and couldn't understand "why the lady took" his seat. I want a better experience this year.

There were 2 Spectros and 1 Wishes the night I was there (during Easter week). My main goal was Wishes that night -- although I did catch the wonderful Spectro parade after Wishes was over, and the crowds were lighter, just by standing along the route. Did see lots of people with tripods located all about (can't comment on benches, although I'm sure other posters are more knowledgeable).

For Wishes, tons of video and photographers were sitting on Main Street in front of the castle. Most everyone was very considerate and sat, and there were lots of tripods among the crowd. Liked seeing the castle straight-on and it was perfect -- not too close, not too far.

Good luck and Enjoy. Here's some pixie dust.

We watch Spectro in Liberty Square in front of the Hall of President's, there is no bench there, but across the street around the Liberty Tree has benches. The only thing is, I'm not sure, but I think there is room in front of the benches for people to sit too and they might block your view.

There are also benches just over the bridge coming into Liberty Square from near the castle. Only problem is sometimes these benches are roped off for VIP's, but if they aren't they would be a perfect spot to film Spectro from.

My family were at the Spectro parade during spring break. We went to the second showing (far less crowded). We had a bench all to ourselves in Frontierland close to the Country Bear Jamboree show.
