Beluga Whale Interaction/Penguin Encounter

I was thinking of surprising DB with an animal interaction when we visit SeaWorld this June. The Beluga whale interaction and the Penguin Encounter sound the best to me but if anyone has done either or has more info I'd really appreciate it. I've had a hard time finding anything but the official site with info on these.

I kinda want to do the Beluga whale one but for $170 I'm wondering if it's worth it, and what else do you do since it says "explore other Arctic animals"? Could we touch that penguin here? DB is really into those penguins

we did the penguin encounter and it was great - there was a group of 8 of us

what happened :

we met outside the penguin encounter
then we went inside the usual penguin building and was given a 10 minute talk whilst watching the penguins (other members of public could listen in at this point)

we then went round to the back and was shown inside some kitchen windows and there store cupboards (what they wore)

then we went inside and one of the penguins came out and was really happy to be petted for about 15 mins. it was amazing!

we also got into a little bit where the other penguins were - but there was a small fence, but it was nice to see them in there great enclosure without any glass etc

after this we were shown a puffin, who was v. cute

Hope this helps - it was an amazing experience, i love the penguins so much and being able to touch one was just WOW

I did the Beluga interaction during the Marine Mammal Keeper Experience and it was really amazing! I could pet and feed the whale and even give them hand signals. It was one of the best parts during that programme!

i did the beluga tour and it was totally amazing, I am hoping to do it again (DH doesnt know my dis sign on so im safe lol!!). The trainers were fab, and the animals were just out of this world - an amazing experience x

I booked the Beluga Interaction as a surprise for my DD. Never told her, and we waited for the girl to collect everyone who was doing it, the look on her face was magicial. The whole experience was great, and would definetly do it again for her, she fed petted got hugs signalled for them to do things , she loved it, and you are able to watch it all from inside , just across from the beluga area.
I bought 1 AP as there was a dicount with it, and got free parking, along with food and merchandise discounts, visited SW about 3 times that trip 2 years ago, and with all the discounts and free parking the AP worked out cheaper than an ordinary pass
