Hi everyone!
My mum and I are doing the beluga program on Tuesday and obviously we want some pictures. I know there are photographers in the water, but does anyone know how much they would cost, do they offer different packages? We are going by ourselves so no family members to take pics.
Thanks!

The photographers are actually a bit further away. When we did the interaction about 6 months ago it was $50 for a cd of all interaction photos. Only downside is they pretty much only get pictures of you and the back of the whale. We couldn't see their faces in any of the photos.

My wife just did this last week. The photos turned out ok. It is dark in there and they definitely have the right gear to get the photos. The cd was still $50 and you can add all the pictures taken than day. Here is a link to a video I took. It will look similar to this.

Hope this helps.

It's $50 for the photo package. Includes all your park pictures from that day (including stuff like dolphin feeding, when you enter the park, penguins, etc). You will receive a photo CD with print rights. They stand at the guest viewing area but you get great shots! I actually posted a really in depth review of when I went in october and did it, and I am going again next week for it. It's that good. If you have any questions let me know!

Here is my review if you want some info on what you will be doing.

I hope that helps answer your question!

I love these pictures! I want to do this in May! My question is has anyone ever done it solo? There's no one in my family that would do this with me and I'm wondering if I would be grouped with another family or if they would take some solo photos for me? Any insight would be helpful, thank you :)

I'm sure you could get photos with just you in the shot. They only allow 4 people per time slot, so if you got lucky maybe your group wouldn't be complete? When i went with my husband in October there were pictures of each of us separate, in addition to the shots with both of us. You meet your photo team before the experience so i am sure this is something you could express to them so they could be mindful to just take a few extra with just you in frame. I'll try to remember to ask on Sunday when I am there, but no promises I won't forget haha!

So I did it yesterday and asked, the answer (from a trainer) was that it would be just you and the trainer.

Thank you for checking! I didn't get to do it this trip but I am back in September and will plan for it then!

I visisted Seaworld back in April and saw the belugas.

I was concerned as they seem to be in that tank in a building that has a roof on it which means no natural sunlight or fresh air for the animals.

People that have done the interaction with the belugas is there another place that they can swim to that is out in the open?

Yes there is. Directly in the middle of the back wall underwater there is a tunnel that leads to an open air second pool that the Belugas can use. The tunnel is always open and Belugas are free to come come and go as they please. This Is why some times you will not see any Belugas Inside, and why you very rarely see whisper (the most Grey colored beluga) as she prefers the outdoor tank and stays there nearly all the time. The belugas have toys in both locations. Klondike and maple spend more time indoors. It's all a matter of preference. When doing the interaction if your Belugas aren't feeling like participating they can and will swim to the back tank. (:
