I CANNOT believe this will only be on for the summer. I'm a dessertaholic - can live off sweets - and was salivating looking at those pictures. I am NOT at all happy that this won't be an option in September

Today is our 14th anniversary!
Yesterday was a poopie day indeed; had to have a root canal (cracked my tooth from grinding them at night) and it took SIX shots of Novocaine total. One of them was actually down into the middle of the pulp of the tooth!![]()
I hope you were well enough from the root canal to enjoy your anniversary. Your menu sounds SO good. Seems like a few of us need an overdose of novocaine to get numb. I once had to have 3 root canals within a 2 month period and I can't get frozen either. The dentist was dripping novocaine onto the root as he was working *shudder*. I was traumatized for years!

Our first day I'm hoping to get a ressie for Nine Dragons. We haven't eaten there since the renovation, and I'd still like to try it.
The second day, I had wanted to try Ohana's for dinner. My mother, quite frankly, hates the menu. Everyone else is pretty much down for whatever I suggest. I've never been to Ohana's, so I'm not sure what to do here. Other possible ideas are having everyone go to Chef Mickey's for a late breakfast, because I think character dining would be fun with our big group, and my dad is still here on this day.
The third day, we have MNSSHP, and we pretty much leave the day open.
The fourth day, I'm having lunch at Sci Fi. Not because it's spectacular food, but because I think my four year old will love eating lunch in a car. Mom and Nana won't be joining us, they'll be going elsewhere.
The fifth day, we're having dinner at the Brown Derby to celebrate my birthday. This is a place my mom actually likes, and everyone likes, so score one for me.
The sixth day, we leave, but our flight is later, so we actually have time for breakfast on this day. I was debating another character breakfast, but I'm not sure.
Thank you so much if you read all that. So, has anyone been to / enjoyed Ohana's lately? Nine Dragons? Can you think of any other places...not knowing my family at all...that you think is good for a big group?
Thanks again. I really appreciate it.
To be honest, I wouldn't take my Mom to Ohana again. She didn't enjoy it because there was quantity but not the quality she likes. We don't go to the Nine Dragons either, because my hometown Vancouver is famous for amazing Chinese food and Nine Dragons just doesn't measure up, IMHO. I like Sci Fi and am also making a rezzie for that. Never been to Brown Derby but it wouldn't be my choice for a signature restaurant either - not with Jiko, California Grill, Citrico's, Narcoosee's, Yachtsmen and Artist's Point as alternatives.
Our first breakfast at Disney will be at Boma (a surprise for my sister on her first visit) and now I'm nervous about the "off" day and dry food. I can only hope we have a Bendy kind of experience.
