Belly Up to the Bar With Bendy and Her Friendies!!! Button Pics & New Thread Started!

I second this! I think you should pass the hat so to speak. We'd be happy to throw in towards the cake. I can also almost guarantee that we'll be there for the meet...that 40% off code was too much to resist, plus we got $50 off per airfare ticket. Your cake talk has only helped to stoke the Disney fires.

Suh-weeeet! You're gonna be there! :cool1: I can't wait to meet you and your family, especially your budding chef. :goodvibes

As for passing the cake hat ... why don't we just wait and see what happens first? I forgot that someone ordered a single layer mad-hatter cake and that might be a good option for less money. I can't really order anything until next month anyway so we'll just let the idea percolate for a bit.

Have I mentioned lately how terrific all the friendies are? :grouphug:

How about the Mickey cake from the Boardwalk Bakery?

I just think it's great how this is all coming together. Like I said before we are so excited to meet everyone .. :yay:

that's also on my list but I've just always wanted a mad hatter cake ... and goofy is my favorite ... and I just like to spend money on things I don't need. :rotfl2:

We'll figure something out ... maybe I could request a large cake decorated to look like a wedge of cheese? :lmao:

I'll third the idea of passing the hat. I'm SO excited about October, we're going to have a blast!:grouphug:

TigerKat! I see by your ticker that you are doing Universal?! Is that the Halloween thing or just the park?

No, we're not doing the Halloween thing, just the parks, and looking forward to staying at Portofino Bay. It'll be a nice change to hit some of the restaurants there too!!!!! So far we're thinking of doing Tchoup Chop, Latin Quarter & Mama Della's. If anyone has any suggestions, please share!:goodvibes

Ya know ... I like the idea of a cheese board cake. I really think that would look great.

there could be a small round cake, like a brie; a wedge, like cheddar, and maybe a squar, like a block of blue cheese. and then they could do a garnish with real fruit, or maybe marzipan ... oh it could be so fun if it wouldn't cost a small fortune to make. :rotfl2:

I can always think of stuff like that but I have no idea how to do it.

Found this pre-trippie by our friendie Christine, who won't be at F&W during most of our dates but has kindly offered to be the advance guard for the rest of us. Check it out if you have time ... she's just getting started and needs an audience. :goodvibes

Monday the computer/internet/router kept flaking out and I kept trying to do things but accomplished nothing. Still having issues, but it' better.

Oddly enough we are also having wireless router issues this week! All of a sudden my secure connection (which we have had for about 5 years!) went poof! and I cannot find it anywhere. My router shows up as a new named connection that I cannot seem to secure to save my soul. I have beefed up our firewall and virus scanning, but it is driving me nutso!

That's pretty funny! I'd want the cake to look like a cheese board ... like maybe three or four small cakes designed to look like different cheeses. Wouldn't that be too cool? :thumbsup2

Can't I just shove a candle in a round of Brie and bring you some bubbly?

Cheese would probably be easier to do than a Mad Hatter cake....either one would be cute! My niece is turning 21 on the 22nd of June (I feel so old!) and she wants a cake that represents all four Disney parks. She even drew a sketch for me of how she wanted it. I don't know how I'm going to pull this one off! If it doesn't turn out too terrible I might post a picture of it!
