Belly Up to the Bar With Bendy and Her Friendies!!! Button Pics & New Thread Started!

Yep, we split it ... it was just right for the two of us. Of course it was sandwiched inbetween a lot of other drinking that day but it sure hit the spot! :thumbsup2

I'm also really intrigued by their hard cider. I don't know if I've ever had hard cider, but I'm confident I'd like it. :thumbsup2

I tried the Strongbow Cider last year and thought it was really good - light and crisp and refreshing. A very nice warm weather drink, especially if you want a lighter alternative to beer.

They have Strongbow cider, it's pretty good. They might also have Woodpecker. At least they used to. Woodpecker is the sweeter one.

Do they sell that sampler in the pub or must it be in the restaurant?

Thanks!

I've read online that they have the Woodpecker cider as well. I would probably prefer sweeter, so I'll have to keep that in mind.

We ordered it while eating in the restaurant, but I've seen it on the pub menu as well.

Chelle, those sliders look delicious! That must be new on the menu; I will definitely have to find room to try those in Dec.

Thanks everybody for the well-wishes! We leave Thurs. morning at the butt crack of not even dawn, so I'll probably still be roaming around here some tomorrow.

Have a good trip. It's lovely out here in So Cal right now!:hippie:

This is the Imperial Sampler:

Guinness, Boddingtons, Bass, Stella Artois, and Harp. :thumbsup2

Apparently, the Imperial Sampler comes with a side of Bendy's cleavage!:rotfl:

I just booked us for a wine tasting next month that includes a set of 4 Riedel Crystal glasses ... $50 per person for six wines and we each get to keep the glasses! :cool1:

Sounds great!

I have tried both the Strongbow and the Woodpecker, and prefer the Strongbow much more. For me, the Woodpecker is almost too sweet....while the Strongbow has a nice crispness to it. Either way, you'll enjoy it.....it's very easy to drink.

Well, if you've been following the food reviews since the beginning way back in 2006 you'll know that booze, dessert, and my cleaves all go, dare I say, hand in hand. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Well, being rather amply endowed myself, I find it is very difficult to take any pics without showing off the girls. Last year's Disney pics, when I was still nursing DS, are particularly ****tacular!:lmao:

I'm not really all that well endowed but the cleaves manage to make an appearance. My motto should be: Will flash for dessert or booze, or both! :lmao:

That sounds great...and quite a value when you consider how much the glasses would be if you bought them separately. I think it would be very interesting also to learn how the taste of the wine is affected by the glass shape. I know that you are supposed to use certain types of glasses for certain wines, but I never really understood why.....or perhaps I was just too eager to drink it to bother putting it in the right glasses!

Wow, that looks like an awesome experience. I can't wait to see the reviews of that evening and pics of your new wine glasses. :goodvibes

Chelle,

I'm going to have to try those sliders when I go in September. I've never tried falafel before. What does it taste like? Did you have have visions of Hannibal Lechter talking about fava beans and a nice Chianti as you were eating it? ;)

Have you ever had one of those days when it's just not worth chewing through the restraints???

Yesterday was it...

Last night I was sitting here checkin my email...:surfweb: and suddenly the computer screen went black... dead... nothing... then it flashed back on... and I saw this...

IMG_2511.jpg

Whoa.... I said... yup... it was upside down...

I decided to close the browser to see if it would help and saw THIS...

IMG_2515.jpg

(no... this is NOT the Poseidon Adventure... the ship IS upside down...)

So I just put my head in my hand and just said "What else could possibly happen this week.... ) :sad2::sad2:

BUT... I had to find a solution...

So I decided to do this... :rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

Lemons... Lemonade... :sad2::sad2::sad2:

I'm going back into my padded room now...

Uhhh I'd blame Plankton. He's looking way too happy in that photo. The only thing that brings him joy is other people's misfortune.

Not yet... but the bottom of the stand from my monitor is making one handy dandy little shelf... :thumbsup2
