Belly Up to the Bar With Bendy and Her Friendies!!! Button Pics & New Thread Started!

Here's a huggle from Stinktown.

You'll get there ... you're too great a resource and too hard working not to make a go of it. And I totally understand because I have real issues with patience, too.

You need a kahlua colada ... mmmm, sweet, frosty, alcoholic comfort. :rotfl:

That sounded perfect until I got to the cupboard and didn't have any pineapple juice or cream of coconut :sad2:

Thanks for the huggle, I needed that

 HI KIDS. Bendy just reminded me I havn't stopped by in a while! :upsidedow

I've been missing in action...over on the planning forums, getting ADRs for my trip, then booking at 90 days for our cruise excursions/Palo, then booking ADRs for my sister's post cruise WDW trip....

I can answer your recent questions about on line booking. It's a snap! :thumbsup2 If you are staying DVC and are trying to book at the 90 day mark, and want to book 90 +10 you HAVE TO CALL Disney dining. It's a glitch in the system and is being worked on. That was as of yesterday anyway...just had to do this for my sister.

So...who all is doing F&W Festival now...any new recruits?

.

You haven't been missing in action... :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

They just haven't been able to pry the phone off your ear with Disney Dining!!! :scared:

(btw... did you pencil me in for Citricos?)

I am going to Hoop de Doo on Sunday. Should I bother with Hoop de Doo food porn? Who likes fried chicken?

There's just something about the words Hoop de Doo and food porn in one sentence that seems so mismatched that I had a total laugh meltdown. I'm obviously still lightheaded from the bronchitis I'm recovering from. :lmao:

I've got 2 more days till I can make my ADRs and I was planning to phone but now you've all got me interested in trying the online reservations. I don't think it'll be that busy at the end of September though I could be completely wrong - it is free dining after all.

At any rate, figured I'd add a recent fantastic meal that DW and I shared as a combo DW's birthday/Father's Day present.

Wow... :worship: I am so glad you shared the photos and the description! It all looks so yummy.

I had a champagne pairing and by the time dinner was over, I was a very happy girl! :goodvibes

Last but not least, here was our view from the 26th floor at the Bellagio...

Vegas17.jpg

Your dinner at Envy looked delicious! And how can you ever go wrong with a champagne pairing??

Your room at the Bellagio--I have my fingers crossed you had a deluxe lakeview room. We have one booked in Dec. Your view was fantastic!:cloud9:

I know that I want to try tea at the Four Seasons and I know we're looking for an incredible seafood place and other than that it's still wide open. Oh, and I know that Jay's aunt and uncle will want to take us out somewhere for his birthday and I'm going to work with his aunt to oder him a special cake from Payard's.

I've got to get thinking because there are only 11 months left. :lmao:

I went to tea at the Four Seasons a few years ago. It was a lovely experience. :goodvibes
Ahhh...and Payards's. We kind of have a thing...eat at Rao's, and then pick up a few truffles from the amazing chocolatier. Pure heaven!

I really don't mean to keep disappearing. Life has just been crazy lately! For one thing, I seem to have less time now that the kids are on summer vacation. Also, I had my Dad & Stepmom here last week and then an inlaw meltdown this weekend (amazing how childish adults can act sometimes). I'm still working on the blog and I'm almost done with the cruise report. I've got several people interested in trips +/or cruises, but no one is commiting and booking yet. I feel like I'm soooooo close, but just not there yet. Did I ever mention that patience is not one of my strong suits? :guilty:

Sorry for the rambling thought vomit.....:scared:

Hope everyone is doing well :flower3: I think it's time for me to get a drink and try to relax :goodvibes

Sorry about the meltdown. Why can't folks learn to be nice and use their words?
Good luck with the bookings! One of these years we want to cruise.

Hope all is going well with the Friendies! :flower3: I'm enjoying the Baseball College World series. What a game last night!! Go LSU Tigers!!!
:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

FIRST: Brad OMG..i salivated looking at that smoked salmon wrapped egg..good lord YUM!!!
2nd: Brenda your term " rip my inards to shreds' about fried chicken..stopped my drooling in its tracks. lol!

MICHELLE: GREAT VIEW!!!! We have booked a lake view room for our honeymoon..if our view is ANYTHING like that i will faint.ok, hopefully not really..but i will do a happy dance!
ON THAT NOTE>>>>i have a vegas question!! Having never been there before, and going for 3 nights to kick off our honeymoon (yay!)...do you typically have to make reservations for restaurants prior to arriving or is this something you can do when you get there?? I am so used to pre-planning where we are eating for Disney that i have it in my head that i need to make ressies well in advance for everything! AND any suggestions for a nice dinner that won't completely break the bank ( the 2nd night will be our "fancy" dinner night...we might do it again the 3rd too, if we are feeling rich hahahh!!!

I have no shame ... I'd totally ogle Hoop de Doo food porn, especially since I've never been.

Same here!!

I was not blessed with patience either, here's a .

WOO HOO!!!!!! GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!!!

Hi all....just checking in to see how things are going....I've been MIA myself for a few days. All of those recent food porn pics are amazing....as was that view from the Bellagio!

Catherine, I agree as well...bring on the food porn! I'm not too proud to drool over fried chicken....especially when I'll probably be viewing it while eating a frozen Weight Watchers meal at my desk!

I agree, something about Hoop De Doo food porn sounds like it should be wrong. :lmao:

I however, would love to see it.

I have no idea what that says about me. :rotfl2:

As someone who goes to Vegas partly for the food, I have always made our dining reservations well in advance of getting there, but I'm sure you can do it on the fly too...I'm just a chronic planner. I have plenty of suggestions for wallet siphoning dinners, but I don't think that's what your looking for. Jean-Georges Prime Steakhouse at the Bellagio is a favorite of ours. Yummy stuff!

Thanks! Yes, we had a deluxe lakeview room. Just ask for something in the center and above the 20th floor when you check in! :thumbsup2

You will love staying at the Bellagio! It's the perfect place to start your honeymoon.:cloud9: Congratulations!!! We made reservations ahead of time for all of our Vegas dinners. :surfweb: We REALLY loved Michael Mina's restaurant at the Bellagio - that's my vote. I also enjoyed Alison's suggestion to you - Prime was amazing, too.

That's why we're friends. We think alike!

Here's a couple pictures of sunrise from our Bellagio room... (yes, we got up that early to take pictures... ;) ...or stayed up that late... I'll never tell!)

OMG...that view is just STUNNING!!! I have to get out there with Fred soon and that is just soooo enticing!

If you are within 90 days you do not have to enter a reservation number at all.

http://www.vegasuncorked.com/

This has all the events and menus for 2009. Have been considering attending 2010's for awhile. I would be in for that grand tasting and Bobby Flay's wine dinner.

Thanks for the info on the reservations and also the link to Vegas Uncorked. I'm with you, sign me up for the grand tasing and dinner with Bobby Flay!

Thanks, that's great info to know for DVC. Hope this is fixed before I make ADRs next month -- that is if I'm brave enough to actually try the online system!

I am going to Hoop de Doo on Sunday. Should I bother with Hoop de Doo food porn? Who likes fried chicken?

Sure, would love to see some Hoop Dee Doo food porn considering the last time I was there we drank too much sangria so I don't remember too much about the food :rotfl:

The good thing about the new ADR's on line is if you HAVE to call - then the wait time has dropped dramatically... I almost got through instantly... :worship:
