First evr go at a trip report. I have so enjoyed reading everyones that I thought I would give it a go this year.

Who's Who???

ME(Nicky 37) Sole Planner and secret Disney Princess(but don't tell anyone) I know in my dreams!!!
DH(John 36) Chauffer and Bag Carrier, loves food and drink :drinking1
DD(Alex 11) I don't like it :scared1: OOH I love it  Why didnt I go on it years ago.
DD(Georgia 8) Wish I was taller then I can go on all the rides :upsidedow

Background to this trip. Went Oct 2003. Stayed in a villa near the Hamptons with friends whose DD is Alex's best friend. Very frustraing trip as they had never been before and they did not understand nor like the concept of getting up early to get into the parks. Hence this time we are on our own and very much lookiong forward to only thinking about ourselves. Sorry if that sounds selfish but.............

So, we do Disney every other year. As much as we all adore Disney we do like to see other parts of the world as well. This year we wanted to do a 2 week caribbean cruise. Having not cruised before, I was concerned that this may be too long. The kids or even us may not like it (I am sure that will not be the case) but you never know.

The girls and us were really in need of some Disney rehab so we decided to compromise and having scanned the Virgin brochure, we finally decided on a Carnival cruise for a week and then 8 nights in Disney. PERFECT. Best of both worlds. So we fly into Miami on Oct 22rd. Sail on Sun 23rd and take in Cozumel in Mexico, Grand Cayman and Jamaica. Then back to Miami on Oct 30th and pick up a car and drive to Coronado Springs for 8 nights of Disney heaven. So as you can imagine we are all pretty excited and looking forward to work and school finishing.

Thats my pre-ramble done and I will fill you all in on the adventure when I get back. :grouphug: :cloud9:

Have a wonderful time. We did a Carnival cruise to Grand Cayman, Cozumel and New Orleans back in '97 - it was great and an introduction to cruising. We then went to P&O who we cruise with every year now.

Be aware that in Jamaica(Ocho Rios), the locals REALLY hassle the cruise passengers badly outside the terminal so try and get your transportation from inside or ASAP outside - I would not advise walking around as they are extremely persistant and became quite abusive when we refused their taxi, beads etc

Any questions re your ports, send me a PM.

sounds lovely :Pinkbounc have a great time and im looking forward to hearing all about it !

I really hope Bellis Belle and family are ok!! It appears they are right in the middle of Wilma!!

At least by the time they get to Orlando, it would have all passed (fingers crossed!)

Im sending out my thoughts to them :grouphug:

I hope they are all okay too. It sounds pretty bad in Miami at the moment.
