27th Oct, Thursday, Day 6

Today we docked in St Thomas. An absolutely beautiful Island. It is part of the US Virgin Isl, so we had to go through immigration again on the boat which was an absolute joke and toook about 1.5 hours. I will not bore you all with that annoying rigmorole. We had b'fast A La Carte gain whilst deciding what to do today. The excursions were quite expensive and since I had been so decadant in St Marteen, we decided not to do one. For this we will be very grateful...... We took a walk to thje shops by the port and had a mooch around. Bough a magnet. Yes something for under $5. Lets have more of that please. :) We collect magnets from everywhere we go. Getting quite a collection together at home now. We took a cable car up a very small mountain (more a big hill really!!) to paradise point. Very nice view and got a good picture of our ship in port. She really is very big. We then went back to the ship for lunch and then came back out and got a taxi down town. We bought the girls some tanzanite earrings and John bought a pirates T.Shirt. Alex was short on clothes as Georgia always gets more as she has Alex's when they don't fit her anymore. Bought Alex a lovely pink skirt from this lovely boutique and some grey shorts with St Thomas in pink on the back.. Decided to go back after this as we had looked around for a couple of hour and it was now 3pm. It was starting to look very overcast and just made it back to the ship before the heavens opended and boy did they open. I felt really sorry for those who had paid $200 to sit on a beach. Now you see why we were glad we did not do an excursion. There was still 2 hours left and the rain kept coming. We went in the main restaurant again tonight and had steak and lobster. Not sure about lobster!!! We went to see a show tonight i the caribbean lounge and it was very good. Singers and dancers through the decades. I only really enjoyed it when they did the 80's..Showing my age now. :cool1: Well the next 2 days are at sea which I won't bore you with and then we hit Miami again on Sunday and then off to Disney. Yipeeeeeee :Pinkbounc
