DS 13 and I will be staying at BWV (our first trip home) in March 2008. I was wondering what the Bellevue Room is. Is it a common room? A place where you can get a snack or breakfast? Or is it a bar? From the pictures online it isn't clear to me. Thanks.

Depends upon what time of day you are there. They do have pastry items and coffee during morning hours. In the evening it is a bar. Not a whole lot to get excited about there IMO.

I LOVE the Bellevue Room!!!

Wonderful place to have a romantic cocktail with background music. Lovely place to stop before dinner and do they make a delicious Sidecar!

If you would like the outside chairs are lovely if it isn't too hot.

also some of the smaller tables are set up for games like chess, checkers, etc.
Just ask the bar CM for the checkers or whatever you need.
If you need some quiet time this is the place when not opened.

I love the Bellevue Room. It is a great place to sit at nite to people watch and see many different things that are happening on the boardwalk.

I am not too sure how much a 13 year old may enjoy it, when there are so many other things they want to do.

Maybe this could be your last stop of the nite to recoup and plan out your agenda for the next day.

It is a great place to get a few minutes of quiet time.

Worth checking out....

It's a quiet spot to relax. If you like beer, be prepared to be disappointed--like most other WDW lounges, a very poor selection.

I prefer the Suitcase at Old Key West, but it's a really pleasant place to have a drink before or after dinner. It's not hopping but a fantastic place to meet and chill.

I use the Bellevue room every morning of our vacation. I get up early and go have some coffee and enjoy the view and get some work done. (Yes - I bring work to Disney  but it pays for the vacation and I am an early riser, so not a big deal!)

It is out of the way and quiet. A nice place to get your mugs filled with your morning coffee. I have not made it there in the evening though.

The Bellevue is our favorite lounge in all of the Disney resorts. It's such a relaxing place to have a drink and you can sit outside on the balcony too.

Thanks for all the replies. I was thinking of it more as a place to pick up a coffee and a danish for breakfast or a snack before bedtime, but I probably won't take my son in there in the evening if it is a bar. We'll just have to get our snacks from the french bakery in EPCOT and have them by the pool. Life is so hard...:rolleyes1
