I agree with the assessment of the lace. A bit too much for me, but lace originates in France, right? (Yeah, I'm sure that's not what they were thinking, lol) I think the color is consistent in person though. I just wish it would photograph thst way.

Can anyone provide me with a link to the other threads that show the princesses updated looks? I tried to search it but couldn't find it. I have seen Sleeping Beauty and this one. Haven't seen Cindy's new look or anyone else who might have been redone.

I just don't understand how Disney made character costume that photographs so poorly. Wouldn't that have been one of the first priorities in designing this kind of thing?

Agreed cymbaldiva-- SueM, that's exactly what I was thinking of when I first saw the new look! A little more vibrant yellow in the new dress and I'd be 100% fine with it. That being said, I'm not outraged. With all consideration to the performers, the original outfit looks much less breathable, which can really matter for a princess in that FL heat mid-summer! Belle's a practical girl, after all.

That was one of my thoughts too.

The Belle dress photographs very poorly. You would definitely think a company that makes movies would have someone look at the design for how it photographs.
I've seen a bunch of photos of the new Belle dress and none of them look good. The colors on all I have seen look very blotchy. Strange for something meant to be photographed.
