Hi, I've stayed offsite before, but never in a villa with a pool. We'd really like to try it this time, as we'll be doing two weeks.

I've been researching a lot of old threads and looking at places like Windsor Palms and Emerald Island. But it occurred to me that whilst we want to be near WDW, we would also like to be close to Universal, Seaworld and other attractions, as we'll be spending quite a bit of time there too.

I found a resort - the Bellavida resort, which seems quite new. And some of the villas are amazing compared to others I've researched for the same price. According to the description on one website, it's behind Medieval Times.

Does anyone know anything about this resort and area - convenience to the parks etc? Or do you have any other villa suggestions that would be handy for WDW and the other parks? Thanks.

We are going to this resort this year:cool1: although I have never been to this resort before I had my mother check it out whilst she was in Orlando last month, apparently it is right behind Medieval Times and Walmart and from her report it is beautiful, huge villas, gated commuinty, great community pool and within easy distance of WDW, I4, Lake Buena Vista, etc can't wait to go.

We usually stay in villas on US27 but have become a bit fed up of the US192 and all it's traffic lights!! (about 13 or 14 sets of lights between villa on US27 and WDW!!!) I know there are other routes but they can be as bad sometimes!

Hi,

We stayed at Bellavida last summer. It is a new resort with a clubhouse and a few recreational areas for the kids, large community pool and a cyber cafe.

Must say we loved it as our villa backed onto the lake and was sun drenched all day. We had a large party and stayed in a 6 bedroom villa which was super. It was called something like mickeys-mansion bellavida. Sure you'd find it with a google search. They have smaller villas and townhouse on resort too.

Having stayed at Emerald Island before they are both quite similiar but BV has a newer feel. We also stayed at Calabay Park a few years but didn't really like the US27 area or the lack of facilities on site.

Location is great if you want to do Universal and Seaworld and Disney. It was located by marker 14 or 15 on the 192 and disney was about 10 mins away and Seaworld about the same. A little bit further to Universal studios from memory about 20 mins via the I4 freeway.
