I have a split Disney resort stay with a stay in the middle at the international drive resorts. I won't need everything and you hate to bring my checked with me to my international drive stay, will bell services hold the luggage for 3 nights until my next part of the stay. Staying at the same resort right now.

I expect all you can do is ask when you get there and explain your situation. If you're staying at the same resort, they might do it for you for 3 days until you return to the resort (no moving involved). Interesting question.

Honestly I’d keep it simple & bring my bag with me. You never know what is going to happen- get sick, something you’re wearing gets wrecked, whatever. The unexpected loves to hit during Vacay. There are obviously things you need to transport to I Drive so how much effort is it really to take your suitcase vs a mini suitcase? It will fit in whatever transport you are taking either way.

My gut says they'll say no.

Best way to find out for sure ahead of time is to email, call, or message WDW (i.e., chat session through the MDE app).

It can't hurt to ask. We often used to have them hold ( and sometimes even transfer and hold our luggage from one Disney resort to the next!) when we would go on a Disney cruise. Sometimes we would spend a night or two at one resort, then cruise and return via Disney cruiseline transportation to a different DVC resort and they were happy to handle our luggage needs - we would often be staying an additional week post cruise and did not want to carry ALL luggage with us. Of course, that was pre-covid, but the most they can say is Sorry, no!

I would say no - you are asking them to store your luggage when you are no longer a guest, even though you will be checking in 3 nights later.

This. There is a difference when you're going on a Disney cruise and returning - you're still within the same company. The OP is leaving the Disney umbrella to go elsewhere.

Just wondering if you ever got an answer from Disney on this? I have a similar scenario coming up with a few days in a Disney resort, a day/night at universal and then back to a Disney resort for the rest of the week. Would definitely prefer not to take a week+ worth of clothes with us for 1 day.

Are you staying at the same resort when you return?

When I pieced together a stay over new years a few years back, I went from Boardwalk to Grand Floridian for one night (NYE), and then back to Boardwalk. I had no trouble asking the Boardwalk to hold my bags until the next night. In my case, I was staying on property and returning to the same resort.

If you're leaving for more than one night, or if you're returning to a different resort, I wouldn't expect them to hold your bags.

I would be going from Jambo house to BCV. We are doing a day at universal in between so ideally we would just take a couple of backpacks to Universal and send our suitcases on to BCV on checkout day from Jambo.

I think that's a little risky, but you'd probably be fine. BCV is going to receive some luggage that doesn't match up to a reservation that night and they might notice. I'm not sure what they'd do. I imagine they expect their storage room to be empty at the end of each night, but they might not notice.

It worked, I told them that I didn't want to pick up my big bag until Monday and they said okay not an issue and I just picked it up when i got back.

My fear is passing the word to all who work there and then making sure the bags don’t grow legs while there
lots of staff in and out of that dept at the resort
the one you speak to can say sure, no problem. Tell their crew. So all that bunch knows what’s up. Then shift change. Maybe the crew you told is then off 2 days. Does all the next crews know whats up with this unclaimed bags? Or do they send it away somewhere as misdirected luggage? It maybe work out fine. But if it doesn’t finding out it didn’t when you return to no luggage is gonna suck
