We will be staying at one of the value resorts for one night as it will be much cheaper to fly in Thursday night rather than Friday morning. After out one night at the value, we will move to the Dolphin. How do you transfer? Can we just take the buses? I don't mind having to transfer, but can we bring our luggage? Or do we have to take a taxi?

Ok, so I did some searching on here and found that Disney will transfer our luggage between resorts for free, and we can just take a bus into the park and then back to our new hotel. Awesome! Here is my question... does this service include the Swan and Dolphin resorts? I hope so, this would make everything so easy!

Yes I have had my luggage moved from a WDW resort to the Dolphin a few times and also done the reverse.

Be aware though that it can take all day - don't expect your bags until at least check in time - 4ish or so. We usually pack up, call bell services for the transfer and then hit a park. We return to the Dolphin at dinner time to check in and retreive our bags.

You can't take any luggage on the WDW buses so if you want to move your bags yourself you can just call a cab. Shouldn't cost too much.

If you book at POP, I would just take a cab. The cab fare will be under $10 (at least it has in the past..as of last month), and you will have your luggage with you, rather than waiting until early evening to have access.

I'm almost positive that you can't take luggage on the Disney buses.

When I stayed at AKV Kidani last summer, there were 2 families with luggage on the bus. I got on the bus at Kidani and unfortunately they held up the bus because they did not know if their reservation was for Kidani or Jambo! The woman got on her cellphone calling someone to find out. They ended up just getting off.

I agree totally! I would bring your luggage, then leave it with the bell man at the Dolphin if your room isn't ready. Much easier, quicker, and better to know you'll have access to your stuff as soon as you have a room.
