Believe it or not thinking about Tgiving 2012 already, is there ever discounts?

Hi all! I try to follow the discounts pretty closely but have never looked into to a Thanksgiving trip before so I have never really paid attention to that time frame.

I am wondering if there is usually a discount code or free dining ever during this week?

Or is it a black out usually being a major holiday.

Already thinking ahead to 2012 and I'm planning a budget for rack rates but I am really hoping we don't have to pay rack!

2009 we had FD for Thanksgiving using a public offer. We arrived the Saturday before. I believe this was the last day of the offer.

2010 we had a PIN that we could have used to do the same thing, arrive the Saturday before and have FD the whole trip. The last day of the public offer was the Thursday before Thanksgiving. Due to health issues we had to miss our annual Thanksgiving trip.

Good luck!! As you can see we are hoping for FD this year!!!

Last year I had pins for 40% room discount thru the Tues. before Thanksgiving. I also received free dining pin. Discount was better becasue we stayed at YC. We also received $500.00 gift card for our kids' reservation at THV. Never say never.
I used a TA and she kept a real close eye on discounts. I sent her my pins...swear she must have changed my ressies 4 times!
