I do feel bad about how belated this thank you is, but I landed on this board for the first time today and thought I'd "purge" my guilt about being tardy and pass along my thanks! My intention was, of course, to send my thanks directly to those involved at WDW, but being a busy SAHM, my best intentions were cast aside for some of life's more mundane chores.....So on that note...
THANK YOU!
To the staff at CRT who were working on the last Saturday in June 2004. I was there with my DD4 and a friend with her DD5. My daughter has been obsessed with Disney princesses for 3 years, so of course I thought breakfast at Cinderella's castle would be the ultimate for her. Well, she is also a bit overdramatic and easily frightened, and as soon as we walked into the waiting room of the castle she freaked out. Too dark and "castle like" for her and she DID NOT want to stay for the breakfast. Of course I'm upset because she is upset and thinking ..."did we come all the way from Maryland to MISS this?". Anyway, some of the CM's took notice and came over to ask what was wrong. When I told them, they immediately started doing things to make her feel more comfortable. They brought her a balloon, and even offered to take us up to the dining area before our PS's were ready, so that she could see how much brighter/happier it was up there, and of course that the princesses were up there. She calmed down, and felt much better once we took the elevator upstairs. I'm sorry I don't remember the CM's names that were so helpful, but I think about that incident all the time, and wanted them to know how grateful I am for their kind words and help!!
Also, to whomever found my missing lanyard that held my park passes and credit card....THANK YOU! I didn't notice that the card holder had come off until I reached my hotel that night. It was the last night of our stay, it had been raining for a few hours so I had had on a poncho. We had sat in the rain to watch the fireworks, and of course I had a very exhausted 4 year old to take care of. When I got off the bus I realized that my attachment was gone, and ran back to the bus to look for it. It wasn't there. I ran to the front desk and quickly reported it missing. I was a wreck. Then I had to call home and ask my husband to cancel the credit card. I felt horrible. Luckily the park passes were no longer good anyway, as we were heading home in the AM. Two weeks later, what shows up in my mail but the missing lanyard attachment, with the park passes and credit card inside. Amazing. Only in Walt Disney World would that happen.
Sooooo......THANK YOU!!!
