Just got back from 4 days in London. Visited all the places we wanted to and even got a very nervous Ashley up 530 steps to the top of St Pauls cathedral. We managed to get a brilliant view of the London Eye on New Years eve to see the fireworks. Have never seen such a brilliant show and only had to wait 1 1/2 hours, even though we'd heard on the news people were queueing up from 6pm. It was quite scary making our way back to the hotel in the mad crush of people, I don't think its something we will do again. What I came on to say is Happy New Year to everyone and I will try and catch up on what I've missed over the next few days. Children back at school tomorrow but unfortunately the decorations have got to come down, shopping, washing and ironing done etc. so see you all soon.:thumbsup2

Happy New Year to you to Wendy, glad you had a lovely time:thumbsup2

Glad you had a great time, Happy new year!

Happy new year, Wendy. Sounds like you had a really exciting time. Hope coming back to reality isn't too difficult.

Happy New Year Wendy. :goodvibes I watched the London Eye fireworks on the TV and thought they were really good, so they must have been amazing to watch in person.

Happy New Year Wendy ~ Sounds as though you had a wonderful time.

DH is sorting out the pictures at the moment so I'll post one so you can see the view we had.
