Beirgarten

I'm enjoying this thread; makes me glad I booked Biergarten for lunch on the day of our anniversary! We'll already be in Epcot because we're doing the Segway tour that morning, and we'll be having a big dinner at 'Ohana that night...so I think Biergarten will be perfect for a lunch where we can just take a bit of a few things :) Do they have the "show" during lunch, or only dinner??

Hi,

The first time we went there, we went for a late lunch (about 3:00pm). This time we went at 5:30PM and noticed that the show was much longer during lunchtime. We also had front row seats and the place was nearly empty. This time, we had a top row table and the show was so much shorter. I'm sure they're trying to get you in and out during the busy dining hours.
Enjoy! We love it there.

Ate there last week the food was great!. Good selection of salads, vegetables and meat (chicken, pork, salmon and sauges etc.) Desserts were good too!

We always visit Biergarten for lunch and always just walk in with little wait. I'll tell you what though, if it were me, there would be no way I would plan a big dinner the same night. After Biergarten I dont have to eat again for DAYS! :rotfl:

We are going with our friends the 1st day at Disney. I am looking forward to it! Thanks for all the info. :flower:

Jumping on the "friends of the Biergarten" thread ;)

LOVE this place! mmmmm....my tummy is rumbling thinking about it! I was so excited when DH told me he made PSs for us tomorrow night @ 5:30!

We eat here every trip! I love the german bologna and their cheese spread. Seriously! I pick up some brotchen (hard rolls), german bologna, and some of the cheeses and I am set! The last time we ate there (Sept '04), the couple we ate with (because we sit family style while there: everyone shares long tables) was from Canada. It was funny watching them try not to watch me make mini-sandwhiches with my food! LOL. :rotfl: I am easy to please when it comes to food. The bare essentials get me excited!

So if anyone is around tomorrow night, look out for us! :drinking1

Also I might add that you should try their beer selections. Very delish. I think I had the summer brew last time (or was it winter). Who cares! It was good though :)

Greetings!

After years of "maybe...nah", DW and I are planning on a dinner at the Biergarten this trip. We're both of German heritage (DW actually did those German twirling dances as a girl) and we think it would be a lot of fun. One question: is there a "good" or "bad" time to go for dinner? We'll want to see as much of the show as we can - is it continuous, or is it something like every hour, or half hour or ...?

Thanks!

We've eaten here during lunch and dinner. We always love the food, but the location of your table has a lot to do with the enjoyment of the show. Last trip we were seated on the upper tier all the way in the corner. The stage was off to the side of us and there were so many people coming and going in our area that the show was rather obscure. The best was when we sat right in the center very near the stage.

Thanks - that makes sense. We're planning on a dinner, so is there a slow time where we might have a better chance at a closer table?

Thanks, er, Danke!

There are quite a few salads w/o meat. And they have lots of bread. There's also spatzel (sp?) which is a plain pasta. They also have soups so you might find something there w/o meat. And they've added disney's standard mac and cheese to the buffet now, so if you are starving you can always have that. Might DD doesn't eat the meat dishes and she always finds plenty--especially on the dessert table ;).

We LOVE the Biergarten. And it's pretty affordable, esp. for lunch. And my kids love the show so they don't bug us to leave right away. We get to sit and enjoy our drinks.

Jenny
