Being dropped off at Cruise Terminal

Hi. My mom lives in Florida and is going to drop us off for our cruise at the terminal. Is their a spot to do this? She is also going to pick us up. Is this like the airport where you can drop somebody off at the front? Thanks for the information. Don't want to get a ticket.

I don't think that would be a problem. When we went, we pulled up next to the terminal and dropped off our luggage, and then my DH parked the car. I can't see why a drop off wouldn't work.
I don't know how pick up would work, but I am sure you could do it.

It shouldn't be a problem! My DH dropped us off at the terminal and then returned the car to AVIS and then came back on a shuttle bus. We had to show our picture ID to get into the terminal.

Darwin...was this recently....because I know since 9/11 they were not letting people pull right up to the terminal for drop offs. I was hopting they would change this since we are sailing on 8/3 and we wanted to drop all the luggage and some of our group off and then return the car and take the shuttle with the rest of us.

I can tell you that on 5/25/02 the Raddison and Avis folks had to drop you and your luggage out in the parking lot, then someone came and you left your luggage there while you walked through the parking lot to get to the port. Upon departing the boat, you got a porter to take your luggage out to the parking lot again, and Avis or Raddison picked you up there. Good thing it was not raining. I don't know what they would have done. Just added security. Also, they had a dog there as you entered the boat. On our past two cruises, we had never seen a dog sniffing people as they walked by. I did not like the part about being dropped off in the parking lot. We were dropped off and had to wait about 45 minutes before we were allowed to cross the street. It was hot!!!

MMOUSE37 - I was on the 5/11 Western Inaugural. My DH was able to drop us off right where we leave all our luggage. He then went back to Avis and came back on shuttle

Dropping off at the luggage area is no problem as long as everyone in the car has a ticket!
Debbie if your mom is not traveling with you she can get you close...but not all the way.

Bethparsons.....when we sailed on 2/23/02 IT WAS RAINING, NO MAKE THAT POURING!!!!! DCL finally let the shuttle guy take the luggage out (exactly at 10:30) and the Port guy (not DCL) just left all our luagge out in the parking lot in the rain. We think it did in on spite because the driver had words with him about not letting us out of the van.

Everything was soaked when we got the suitcases. Disney was nice enough to clean free of charge the few items that needed cleaning.
