HOW do you get a job as a cop/security in Disney!?!?! My husband is a NYPD cop and we are seriosuly considering moving one day to Orlando and he'd LOVE to work there. I also want to work in Disney (not as a cop, but just in Disney) How does one go about this? They don't list "cop" on the DIsney employment websites, is it only an inside thing? If anyone knows, please let me know.. thanks! I know Disney has their own security and he probably wouldn't want just a regular security job, he'd want a higher up position. Should we inquire this at the casting building? Is it even still there? Thanks for any help...

Searching Reedy Creek won't help, it doesn't have a police force. From what I know, Disney does not have sworn officer positions. To get an undercover security job you need to practically give up a kidney. Disney contracts with the Orange County Sheriff's Office and the Osceola County Sheriff's Office for sworn officers (well in this case deputies ;) ).

Yes, undercover security positions are hard to come by. Also, I beleive they are now outsourcing security at the World. (Not a good idea to outsource anything, IMO, but nobody asks me these things! ;))

Anywho, it was just dumb luck that my DH got a security position. He went to Team Disney and they said, "We have safari driver or bag checker. Which do you want?" DH didn't want to memorize the spiel for safari driver, the rest is/was history.

I was accosted by DIS security once. They pulled me for a search, and seemed very serious about it. The officer was hard core, and really professional, no nonsense type, ya know?

The only thing was I was having a terrible time not laughing at him. It was serious and all, but those big ears and the high pitched voice, and white gloves were just so distracting. The only thing that saved me was the distraction when his partner waddled up. I seriously could hardly understand a word he said, and I really think an officer in his position should wear pants on the job!

(Totally kidding, folks!)

OT - but here goes:

Does Disney ever have positions for physicians? I want to move up to Orlando and would love if dh could get a position there. I never seen physician jobs advertised - are those thru the county health departments? :confused3
