Nope. Just the ones we had at POFQ, but they were not traditional either. There are lots and lots of videos on YouTube of Cafe Du Monde. Many, many will show people eating the beignets but I had to search for one that actually showed the beignet and once a bite was out of it. This video link around 1 minute will show you the inside of a beignet, they are not hollow, unless your eating them at WDW, as I reported above.
Actually, yes, beignets are 'mostly' hollow. I've eaten more than I want to think about at Cafe du Monde in the French Quarter. I'm a powdered sugar nut - love to take my spoon and scoop extra sugar into the beignet after I take a bite!!
They all may not be immediately hollow with one bite, but they are in the middle. That's what makes them light - not packy. Have you watched them cook them in behind their restaurant? Then You can see how they cook!
