Wait, am i reading right that there are wheat free beignets available? Is that just WDW or does DL have them too? It's also good to know about the differences between restaurants. Jazz Kitchen is sounding more and more worth a stop, even with toddlers who wont care about anything but the beignets.

I'm not sure about the wheat free but a stop at Jazz Kitchen is really easy. They have a sit down restaurant, never done that, but there is also a walk up counter. They have delicious food and if you want to eat then enjoy some hot beignets after you can pay for it all at once then go to the counter to get your hot n fresh beignets when you're ready. Also, they have kid foods like chicken tenders and mini corn dogs. Or skip the meal and make beignets lunch!

After 9 trips to Disneyland Resort, I'm excited to say that we plan to try beignets for the FIRST time on our trip this month. We aren't generally foodies, but I'm pregnant and I NEED to eat these!!!

Port Orleans French Quarter Resort in WDW is where I had wheat/dairy free beignets. It's the only place on property to get beignets in Florida. (I've been told they use some kind of Bob Mills mix so you might have to check on the actual ingredients)

I will probably go by Jazz Kitchen and ask while I'm there. Mom will have regular ones and I'll see if they can make me some allergy free ones.

The beignet mix they sell at Jazz Kitchen in DTD (Cafe du Monde brand) for $10+ can be purchased from World Market for about $3 if you'd like to try making them at home without doing it from scratch. We make ours Mickey shaped and my girls love them!

DL gingerbread Beignets are the BEST!!! especially since you can enjoy them to the sounds of a live jazz band

I also have a real bad seafood allergy but I have never had issues at Cafe Orleans. I also love their beignets, fries, and gumbo.

Really?? That gives me some hope! I can't have any seafood at all- not fish, shellfish, clams, etc. Or anything cooked with them or that touched them. I'll look in to it then.

Same for me as for you - no seafood at all. Never had issues at Cafe Orleans either.

Great! I've had trouble finding info like this. Most allergy people I talk to are peanut, not seafood. Thanks!
