I remember reading somewhere you can get beignets. However, I cannot find it again and I don't remember where to get them.
Please HELP!

Unless there is a new (healthier) way of making beignets, they are not baked, but deep-fried. YUMMMMMMM, the calories! the cholesterol!CharmedLife said:The food court at the Port Orleans French Quarter has them, and they're delicious! Baked fresh on-site. A must-have for my mom every time she's there!
I get hungry just thinking about them! And just 2 mornings ago they were frying me a batch.binky said:Unless there is a new (healthier) way of making beignets, they are not baked, but deep-fried. YUMMMMMMM, the calories! the cholesterol!I get hungry just thinking about them!

.....changed the resort. I told DH that DGD will be spending more time at the pool because the heat in August will be too much for her, and that is true, but it was really the beignets
.

One way I found to reduce the mess is to fry them in a high sided pan. Cuts down on the splattering! Enjoy!
Not that nasty Nescafe

The bakery/beignet part of the food court opens at 6:00 am and closes at midnight! We LOVED them!
They're great with coffee.
