Has anyone eaten these at Sassagoula at POFQ? Can anyone tell me if they're worth it and how big they are?

Thanks!!

They were only a couple of bucks for 3 - and they were large enough where I couldn't finish them. Too much sugar for me in the morning!

I got a six piece one with one snack credit on the ddp. It was enough for 2-3people. They were okay. I agree with the above poster, too much sugar. I am glad I tried them though. They were not bad at all, I just don't like things with that much powdered sugar. Try them. You may love them like many do.:)

they are a good size and they are SOMETHING ELSE........and also messy.....I love these........

I think one beignet along with a regular breakfast would be fine. After that, it's like blaaaaah! :)

And they are messy, like having a powdered donut. Don't wear anything black, or the powder will be showing up all day!

i had them mostly when returning from the parks. you can use a snack credit on them too (i don't think the menu shows the logo for them, but they take them). they're baked on order too, so they're always fresh and hot.

We went to have them on our last visit and are planning to go again for breakfast on our upcoming trip. We got an order of 6 and split between 4 of us along w/ a normal breakfast. Would totally recommend them especially if you are a carb lover!!

The trick is not to breath as you bite them!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:
I was born on those things, every Sunday morning!

Don't try these if wearing dark clothes. :rotfl:

you will be completely disappointed. These taste like fried pizza dough with powdered sugar. YUCK

I went to get these when we were there, but mom warned me against such, telling me they weren't like what I was expecting (having eaten many such at New Orleans in years past). I don't know if they're still like that, or not.

Maybe I will just have to bring my own cafe du monde beignet mix with me when we go in Sept.:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

We thought they were good but not like the ones in New Orleans though. They did make for a nice breakfast each morning.

I had them on our first trip. Dreaming of Cafe Du Monde and a Cafe Au Lait.
What you really get is like a funnel cake at the fair or something. But if you like sweets alot, you will like them

They were ok. I couldn't finish them... I tasted the grease too much and too messy and sugary. They were ok though. I'd probably get them again. Maybe.

This is one of our traditions...I love funnel cake and it's a lot like zeppoles. We get 2 orders for 4 people plus real breakfast food LOL.
