Behind the Seeds Tour

We are thinking of booking this tour. How far in advance do I need to book?

We have taken it twice and both times just walked up and booked it. The first time was for about 30 min. from the tour, the second time it was about 2 hours before the tour.

Day of. My mom did it last trip and loved it!

Done it twice. First time booked a few weeks in advance and the second was a walk-up. Both times were great but it was the afternoon during the summer so the rain really interfered with our ability to hear the tour guide (no walkie-talkies like other tours such as Keys to the Kingdom). In August I'd recommend going for a morning tour to avoid that.

Wife and I are strongly considering doing the tour on one of our trips in the next month or 2. I love living with the land and the tour is so cheap, it's like how can you say no lol

It's a great experience if you're looking for something different to do. We booked it the same morning and it was well worth it.

June two years ago we booked it two weeks ahead of time with no troubles. The day of our tour we had 5 people book as we were checking in.

We were 3 adults and one 12 year old boy and we had a blast. Really cool to see all the different things they do there. My son thought it was really cool when he got to release lady bugs into the plants. I would recommend the tour from our opinion.

I'll be the contrary voice. I took it in March and while there was nothing wrong with it, I didn't feel it was worth the cost.

Haven't done it personally, but DH has twice and really enjoyed it (kids weren't interested so I took them to do something else so DH could enjoy in peace!). Both times he booked day of. It's so inexpensive and doesn't eat up a big part of your day. Definitely worth trying. And I know there are discounts available as well--we used the Disney Visa discount for his.

I did it with 2 of my sons and we all enjoyed it. My kids were 10 and 16 at the time. I think there is a Disney Visa discount. I booked it day of on our last day, it was one of the last things we did before heading back to our resort to catch the bus to the airport. It was a fun way to end the trip

We booked in advance and have walked up. Seemed like there were additional walk-ups available both time as well. We are planning to do it again in December and will most likely do a walk-up.

I've done it twice and both times were totally spur of the moment. The second time, I had just enough time to get some bad wine at Sunshine Seasons and ride Living with the Land, it was great!

Booked about a month in advance for a late June trip and there were plenty of times to choose from. DW, DD (10), and I all loved it. The precise experience probably depends a bit on the tour guide; ours was very nice and incredibly knowledgeable. Took lots of time to answer questions, etc.

Thanks everyone! My daughter is an elementary teacher. She is going to a national workshop on agriculture in the classroom next month. She is very interested in setting up a garden in her school using hydroponics. As a child she was never interested in Living with the Land (boring), but things have changed! I think this would be a great tour for the two of us.

Living with the Land is one of my husband's favorite rides. When he suggested doing the tour, I was not interested, but it was inexpensive, and relatively quick, so we went. I loved it! You do not need to be serious gardeners to enjoy this tour. Our tour guide was so nice and very knowledgeable. Ours was a small group, so we all got to participate and ask questions. This was such a nice surprise, I would even do it again. For the price, you can't beat the value!

When we did it we walked right up and booked the tour. The first available one was a few hours away so we didn't walk right on but you don't need to book in advance in my experience. I highly recommend it. It is one of the few good values for money really left at Disney.
