I recently read a Behind the Seeds tour review on Pinterest. Since we are planning on doing this tour when we go, I was wondering if the review was correct, and you actually get to release lady bugs, try a vegetable, and have other hands on experiences that the writer talked about. I'm not sure how old the review is and wanted to know if they still do/ever did this!

We have taken this tour twice. We released ladybugs once but not the other time. We saw another group doing that on our way out so I'm not sure why we didn't. Both tours we had samples of english cucumber. The only other interactive experience was a spice sniffing challenge. The tour was very good both times and our whole family enjoyed it.

The Land ride in EPCOT is fun too!!! We skipped this every single trip except for the last one. Didn't even know it was there....

Relaxing boat ride with some cool things to see. Good way to kill 20 mins!

We went several years ago, so my information isn't current. We all loved the tour. We did release ladybugs, but we didn't sample any vegetables. We did get to feed the fish, though. Even if we hadn't done either, I think that the tour was definitely worth it. I think that I also remember the spice jars, but I'm not positive.

We released ladybugs, fed the fish, ate a cucumber, and did a spice sniffing game.

As you can see, each tour can be a little different, but no matter what you end up with, it's a great tour!

Was just reading about this tour on the Disney site. With regards to the Lady Bug release, it said "Subject to Availability" Not exactly sure what that means, maybe all the ladybugs were released for that day.

No fish feeding, one person go to release a few ladybugs (shaking them out of a small container onto a leaf), ate some cucumber slices, did the spice identification sniffing, and also some sensitive plant touching. They also passed around some bottled insects at the beginning so we all got to hold it and look more closely at. Oh and we got to drink water from the water cooler which was nice due to the heat/humidity in there during July!

Even ladybugs can have "crop failures"!

I did it in May. We didn't do anything with ladybugs or feeding fish. We did eat cucumbers, and we touched a plant that responded to touch. I agree with the previous poster about the water cooler - I probably drank my weight in water that day.

My wfe and son did this tour a couple of monthß ago. They did not release lady bugs.

I don't know the deciding factor(s).

Don;t forget the discounts....AP, DVC and Disney Visa, all 15%.

And it is a great tour, have taken it several times.

We did it last week. Our group looked at the "bad "insects and the "good" wasps, ate English cucumbers, touched the plant that responds, did the spice scent test and released ladybugs. We went on the 12:00 tour. Don't know if that makes a difference. We really enjoyed it.
