Thanks for all your replies to Em's sneak peek! She loved them!:thumbsup2

Awwwww!!!

Isn't she sweet?

Em, you are so lucky you got to pet one of the dolphins! I can't wait to hear about your adventures at Sea World. :thumbsup2

She's working on her report this weekend. They had a great time!

Can't wait Em :goodvibes

BTW my 12 y/o DD Jess is writing a TR if you want to read it :)

I'm loving Jess' report. I need to get Em over there....

Funny. I just recently saw a special on Sea World on the Travel Channel and was wondering if I knew anyone who had gone recently. I can't wait to hear all about it! :goodvibes

Oh man! We missed that special! I hope they'll show it again.

Wow! Looks like I'm catching up on your TR just at the right time! Hi Em! :wave2: Brenna would go nuts being able to pet a dolphin. It's definitely on our 'To Do' list. :thumbsup2 Boy, you guys really had a great vacation! :goodvibes How are you going to top this one? :yay:

Hey Michelle!!! :goodvibes You should definitely put SeaWorld on your list for Brenna. Just bring lots of money for fish!
After every trip we have, I think, "Okay it couldn't get better than that!" But we always find new things to do and experience every time we go. I guess that why we love WDW!

Day Six Part Three

After a long morning in the sun, (this was when we really found out that our sunscreen had a negative SPF of a negative million!!) we were all ready to be back in our little room at Pop Century. Just as we all got our showers, got settled in and turn off the lights, there was a knock at the door. It was a mousekeeper. She told us her husband was our mousekeeper and he was really enjoying seeing the special mousekeeper envelopes we left for him every day. Arent we just wonderful? (Shoutout to mccraft for designing them!) He made us these sweet little love birds for us to take home. I guess he was too shy to come by himself.

How sweet is that!! They are on a shelf in our guest bathroom. Before we get flamed, they were made for us, given to us and were keeping them!!! Don’t make me start a refillable mug thread to take the heat off of us!!

We did get a nap after that. Oh yay! Nothing like snoozing at the world!! When we got up, Chuck and I made our bounceback reservations for a just the two of us December trip. (Yeah!) We decided to have dinner again at POP and return to Downtown Disney. Chuck was still thinking about that Jedi Mickey Big Fig. I wants it….it’s my….precious…

Every night at POP you can get a Mom’s night out meal. It’s something different each night. That night it was fried chicken so Emily opted for that. You can’t go wrong with fried chicken..it’s the fourth food group!

The rest of us had pizza. They have the cutest little beepersI know that’s how I choose my food selection, by what kind of beeper you get!

DSCF0855.jpg

We also got a chance to see the Hustle again. And guess what? We taped it just for you!!

70’s disco beat…making me tap my foot…have uncanny urge to wear bell bottom pants, rayon shirts, mirrored sunglasses and let my hair grow out (not too long mind you…something more along the line of a Gregg Brady mini-fro)….must stop..the music!

Skeeball really works off the pizza. for the mere cost of five dollars, you too can win enough tickets to get a five cent hunk of junk!!!.....A little something I like to call Disneynomics!

During our Downtown Disney trip (of which there are no pictures. I’m not sure why) we looked at Big Fig Mickey... again, but didn’t buy him... again. Chuck and Em had a big day planned for tomorrow so we called it an early night. Yea, we even wussed out on going to see Wishes from the beach at the Poly that night.. which at that time we thought was a good thing to rest up…but later on (after the trip is over) we can’t help but think ‘Ah, man….we could have seen wishes one more time! By the way, am I the only one who hears in their head ‘share a dream’, everytime they hear the word wishes?

Another great update.

That security guard doing the hustle really put in some extra jazz into his spins. It cracks me up!

Okay. So do you buy the Mickey Fig or not?

That was so super sweet of your mousekeeper to make you lovebirds!!! Not to mention, how adorable it was that he was too shy to bring them himself and sent his wife.

No, no more refillable mug threads! We promise we won't give you grief about keeping the towel animals! :lmao:

Mmmm, fried chicken! We had Church's Fried Chicken Friday night but Disney fried chicken is definitely almost as good! ;)

Watching the video of the Hustle made me want to stay at Pop next time (I just love it there)!

Have you all read the Kingdom Keepers? About the five kids that have to keep the Magic Kingdom out of the clutches of Maleficent? I just finished the sequel yesterday and thought how you would love it. My kids and I just adore them!

Love the SeaWorld sneak peak! Can't wait to hear about your day there.

And the lovebirds are adorable - what a nice gesture!

Thanks for posting the hustle video - we'll be there in 3 1/2 weeks! I've never seen it done in the food court before though - always in the lobby.

They all looked like they were having a good time!!

About the big fig, you'll have to wait and see....

Wasn't that mousekeeper the best? I saw him a couple times and waved.

I think Chuck has fried chicken on the brain. We haven't had any decent chicken since the last time we went to my mom's.

I've got the first Kingdom Keeper here and the second one on hold at work. (I get 30 % off on the 1st of the month.) I've haven't read them, but I was kind of thinking of saving them to read on vacation this summer. You know how I like to theme my books around the trip!!

Not much time left for you!!

Em is doing a good job with the SeaWorld update. I think you'll like it. She had to take a break to watch Little Mermaid II, though. :rotfl:

Crack me up... the Bust Stop, The Hustle, The Electric Slide

Love it!

Thanks for the pictures of Pop. That's where (I think) I'll be staying in Dec so good to know what I'm in for. I'm quite excited about the pizza pager! ;) Not so much about the hustle... although it could be good people watching. And I think I heard that there are some "old school" games like Pac Man and Defender in the arcade so that sounds neat!

Looking forward to hearing about Sea World!

I could eat fried chicken once a week -- I have no doubt!

Those would be perfect themed books for your Disney trips! Jake and Em would like them, too!

You mean you're not meant to take them home? :rotfl2: They were made for you and they were a gift, you had to take them otherwise it would have been an insult :goodvibes

I love your South Park-like picture! :thumbsup2 Where ever did you get it??

The POP is fun! It's really pretty in December too. I don't know about the "Old school games" in the arcade, but they do have Galaga, Chuck's favorite!!

I thought they would be well themed. Both Jake and Em are at the stage now where they don't like any book that mom would recommend. (even if I am a professional!) I guess I was expecting it, but I'm still not ready for teenagers. Jake actually told me today that he'd rather stay home and have a whole day of computer time than go to WDW for his birthday! :scared1: My heart is broken.

I would have insulted him so anything. What a sweet man!

Hi guys!!!
Thanks for the super fun installments, and the large amount of :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: that I did while reading!!!
Can't wait to read Em's Sea World report. The dolphin Em bonding picture is fantastic.
I just love towel animals. What a sweet gesture!

I've started a trip report, too! Follow the link in my signature for September adventures!

No! Say it isn't so!!! If Jake and Em are headed down that the dark path, my two will not be that far behind! :scared1:

Did you tell him, "Too bad we are going anyway"?

Nooooo! Your family was giving me hope that my kids wouldn't get "too big" for Disney!!! I think I've been watching that "Disney's Best Kept Secret" video that was on the Travel Channel last week a little too much. ("And then we can leave it to our kids and grandkids...") ;)

Great update! We're seriously thinking about staying at the Pop sometime in the future - I think we're ready for something other than the All Stars! We're trying a moderate (don't know which one yet) in 2010, but we're driving and will probably arrive the day before everyone else...maybe a stay at Pop will be an idea for the night before our package kicks in. DH was sold on the Frozen Cokes...:rotfl2:

Lookin' forward to more!

Oh no! That can't be right. Maybe he needs to stay at the CR and then he can hang out in the room with the computer while the rest of you have Disney fun.
I want to support his creative process and I know he is gaining skills by the moment, but that's just too scary.  for you as you brave the teenage years!

hi what dates were you at POP? We were at POP Sept.1-10th!!
Were were in the 80's!!
What was your HK's name?
Ours did the same for us!! He was so very nice!!

Welcome Home!! I love the picture of Em and the dolphin. Animals are her thing!

SHOUTOUT! You guys should go read Heather's trip report! It's gonna be a blast!

No! Say it isn't so!!! If Jake and Em are headed down that the dark path, my two will not be that far behind! :scared1:

Did you tell him, "Too bad we are going anyway"?

No, though I was tempted to tell him that. I tried to just shake it off and hope it won't last forever. Of course, he is 14 now and Chuck says it's against the man rules for 14 year old boys to get enthusistic about anything.

:scared1:  :faint: I'm sure he didn't know what he was saying.

Let's hope so. I'm trying to breathe deeply and let it go.

Nooooo! Your family was giving me hope that my kids wouldn't get "too big" for Disney!!! I think I've been watching that "Disney's Best Kept Secret" video that was on the Travel Channel last week a little too much. ("And then we can leave it to our kids and grandkids...") ;)

I couldn't believe it either! I don't what I'm gonna do if we aren't all "nts4wdw" anymore. What will we talk about at the dinner table?

The POP is fun! I don't know what it is about it, kind of a party type atmosphere. Love, love , love frozen coke. We've though about trying the other all Stars (we stayed at Movies on our first trip), but we alway end up at POP.

Thank for the support! I'm sure it will pass, but I would hate to see our happy trips end. Of course, we wouldn't stop going. We'd just leave him at home.:lmao:

We were at Pop back in June. (Yes, this trip report is taking forever.) I didn't get his name, but we were in the Eighties, facing the parking lot next to the bus stop. So glad you got some magic, too.

Finally I am all caught up! Now I have a question...Lynn you have mentioned in the TR that you had wanted a Indiana Jones Mickey but didn't get one...was that b/c you forgot to get one or that they didn't have any? I am just asking b/c when I was there 2 weeks ago they did have them. So just wondering.
