Begun this TRIP report has. New and Done Pg. 59

Editor’s note: I was mistaken in the last post. It was 9 AM at the end of that last installment. Wow! WE really did get a lot done.

Day Two Part Two

When we last left our intrepid travelers, it was 9 AM in MK. This found us waiting at the entrance to Adventureland waiting for the magic Disney rope to drop. Yet again with this magical rope!!! You know this is their way of messing with you….the gates open up, you enter into the park ready to take on the world and BAM!! There’s a rope!!! And you can’t get past it!

First stop: The Jungle Cruise! This is a family favorite. There was a DIS thread recently where everyone posted their favorite Jungle Cruise lines. We loved it. Back to the ride.

We were on the first boat! I wouldn’t mind making this my summer home.

DSCF0543.jpg

Here is our captain, snake wrangler, lion tamer, tour guide and if we didn’t like his jokes, our swim instructor! Careful they’re packing heat!

I wish I could remember all the lines. (Always say I will, never do) I’d just be happy to remember the cruise.

I do remember the Jungle cruise pledge!

“I do I do

Hope we Hope we

Get back. get back.”

We did, of course. And as I passed tearly by Pirates, we made our way to BTMR.

We had planned to get fastpasses, but the wait was so short, we hopped right on.

Don’t I look happy and excited? Yeah, that doesn’t last!

It must have been because we were closer to the back, but I don’t’ remember it being that fast!!! And Em wasn’t even holding on!! I was holding on with my knees, Mama! I was shaking so badly when we got off. I thought I was gonna lose my breakfast. Who knows? I loved it last time. Go figure.

We proceeded, slowly while my stomach settled, to Haunted Mansion. Again, no wait, so we went twice so we could each ride with each child. Jake showed me a new Hidden Mickey he saw in the cemetery scene. Here are some of Chuck’s great pictures!

It’s a Small World was next!

I’m proud to say these pictures are mine! ( No flash of course!) Ah, my young padiwan has finally embraced her new digital camera…..this is the first trip to WDW where we didn’t have to drop off a bizzillion (yep! I said bizzillion!) rolls of film at Wal-Mart afterwards to get developed.

By this point. Em was beginning to drag a little, so to cheer her up, Chuck agreed to ride the Teacups with her. Em loves the Teacups, but none of us can tolerate it! Chuck, being the dad he is, took one for the team. Em was so happy. Yep! I’m pretty darn wonderful aren’t I?...Of course by the time I finished riding, I was pretty darn queasy!

Before we left for this trip, we made a list of some things we each wanted to do, not rides necessarily, but different things. One of mine was to have our pictures taken on Main Street with the castle in our Tye Dye shirts. We did that next and as soon as I get my Photopass picture in, I'll post it!

One of Em’s things was to buy a balloon on Main Street! We did that next, but believe it or not, I didn’t take a picture! BUT, the balloon will come into play later.

One problem, we were on our way to EPCOT next for our lunch at Garden Grill! No one wanted to carry a balloon around the rest of the day. Chuck, again being the dad that he is, offered to take it back to the Pop while the children and I went on to EPCOT! IS he a keeper or what? Again, I refer to the aforementioned pretty darn wonderful comment! Sorry ladies, I’m taken. Try to curtail your bitter disappointment! Actually, the hour I spent traveling from MK to PC and then PC to EPCOT was worth it because the balloon, in conjunction with the fan, kept our motion sensor activated in our room…why even at one point in the middle of the night I had even thought of turning the thermostat up.

The nts4wdw family separated at WDW? Will we find each other again? Will we have our favorite meal? These and other questions will be answered in the next chapter.

This is an awesome picture:thumbsup2

Note to self buy a helium balloon first night at Pop:thumbsup2

Just got all caught up! Lynn I am the same way with shopping in Disney. It drvies DH nuts but I have to be sure I really want what I am looking at.

I love the Teacups also but DH will get deathly ill on them no one else in my family except my DBIL will ride them with me so it has been since 2004 since I rode them. I am hoping this fall I will be able to take them for a spin! I love how fast they go so I can't even walk after.

Can't want to see if y'all meet back up or have your favorite meal!

I was mocked unmercifully at work today, everything from, "Obviously we are paying you too much." to "No one is gonna know what that means." :(

It is so nice to come home to people who understand!! I really love it! Thanks again, Chuck!
I love the license plate. And those that don't get it probably are the same ones that say, "You're going to Disney again?!" But we all get it and I think it's really cool :thumbsup2
I love this pic. It is so cool. I'd love to get one like it with my family, but there is no way I could ride that!! Kudos to your DH for being so brave. :lmao:

Waiting to find out what happens next. popcorn::

Love the license plate and great update! Isn't it funny how a ride can hit you differently on different days? Great pictures and congratulations on entering the digital age. ;)

Hubby does in fact sound like a keeper. ;) Thanks for reminding me of the balloon/motion sensor trick. I had heard that before but forgotten. I like it nice and cold when I'm sleeping so I may be purchasing one myself!!

You rode all my favorites! :goodvibes

The pics turned out really well! What kind of digital did you get (because I am still dropping off rolls of film at Target)?

Sorry about your coworkers. :(

A few weeks ago, I took my son clothes shopping. We were tired and not looking forward to it. We parked next to a car with the plate WDISNY and it just really changed our attitude to see that plate, and we had a really fun day. After that store we popped in HD and picked up some Mickey color chips and we ended up having so much fun. Plenty of Disney fans will see your plate and get it and smile. :goodvibes

Great update. That tea cup picture came out great. I love the tea cups. I always take a picture before we start, never thought to try a spinning one.
The back of BTMRR is definately faster. We rode front row followed by back row and could feel the difference.

Looking forward to more!

License plate fierce!!! Good goin' Chuck and Jake and Em!
Some moms had to get blenders and lawn mowers and jewelry - yours was the best gift I've heard of so far.
I agree that the perspective on the rides are really different from trip to trip. The fronts and backs of the coasters do give you different forces and therefore different experiences, plus the visual things make a huge difference too. Sorry that BTM was too thundery, but Em is a lucky one to have a mother who will go high and a dad who will spin.
Oh this is so much fun - love all the pictures!

Great update. Big Thunder Mountain is my favorite! I like the tea cups, I would have gone with Em! ::yes::

Awwww...Chuck.

You're so sweet.

I loooooove the update!

My new fav is Haunted Mansion. I loooooove the new updates!

Great updates! Sounds like you were able to do a lot...gotta love those EMH (well, atleast I do!).

I love th HM Ghost photo, so cool and the teacups one too, was it taken with a longer shutter speed or something?

What a great DH taking the balloon back, we never have our A/C on at night as it gets too cold :rotfl:

I love th HM Ghost photo, so cool and the teacups one too, was it taken with a longer shutter speed or something?

For HM a slower shutter speed and a much higher ISO (hence the noise), on the Tea Cups I used a lower ISO and slower shutter speed. Thanks for the compliment, looking back at the photo and remembering how much E enjoyed the ride, it was almost worth being quesy for the next hour!

Sorry for no new updates, it has been a heck of a weekend (Lynn's grandmother passed away). But we are back and catching up with work, housework and now REST!

I did think I would post a video clip of one of our latest impulse buys from earlier last week while we were shopping around at one of our local 'antique' shops. Lynn saw it and we just couldn't resist!

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all, so sorry..

love the lamp by the way.
