The Boardwalk bakery looks so good! It makes my late night snack of popcorn and mt. dew seem really pathetic!

I think the only thing I've never forgotten it..........to eat!:rotfl2: Seriously.

An Update!:cool1: I love Spaceship Earth and the new changes were awesome. Also Illuminations is one of the most moving shows Disney does. It gets me everytime. And I fully supposrt Sweets for Supper anytime- not just vacation! :goodvibes

-Becca-

I am quite fond of sweets for supper myself. It's easy to hide in winter, but in the summer, not so much!

Reading I am! :rotfl2:

I have to ask ... did I spy Dark Helmet in your window display? 'Cause if I did you guys just rocketed to the very top of my all-time favorite geek list ... just ahead of Jay and me, of course! ;)

Looking forward to reading more ... :thumbsup2

Hey! I wish that was Dark Helmet! May the Schwartz be with you! It's Em's big head Darth Vader. I guess we'll have to stay soemwhere in the middle of your list.

Thanks for coming by!!

T-Shirts are fantastic, we leave in 7 weeks, so I'm now searching for the instructions:goodvibes

Good luck with you shirts! That thread is still going strong on the DISigns board.

Great update!!! The pictures of EPCOT are great. The best thing about Disney are sweets for meals!!!

Thanks! I love all Chuck's pictures! He got those just standing in the back of the crowd trying to avoid people.

Usually I NEVER forget to eat, but I was under the WDW spell!;)

I just added Banana Pudding Cake from the Boardwalk Bakery to my list of 101 things I plan to eat on this trip. We leave bright and early Saturday morning, and we are ready to go right now!!!

Great SSE video, too! Thanks for sharing.

Hey! Hope you like it so far! See you at the end!!

Day two Part one

Good morning, Pop Century! It’s so fun to wake up your first morning of a WDW vacation with all that fun and good times waiting for you!

Our building reflects our vacation mindset!

We didn’t wait very long at all for a bus and soon we were at MK.

DSCF0518-1.jpg

Don’t they look ready for fun? Yes, Chuck is having a Vault and a chocolate Poptart for breakfast!

It was Early Magic Hour at Mk and it was our first. Usually we avoid them like the plague, but this was the only time we could fit it in so here we go! The only really downside was that we weren’t able to catch the usual opening show…….I can still hear it in my head…Welcome…welcome….it’s just like magic, wrapped up in pixie dust…..hmmm..mmm.hmmmmm……

Balloons in the sky are a good sign!

I was hopping that they would have some of those new Mickey shaped head bubble clouds…Oh, well, I’ll live!

DSC05020.jpg

There was still a morning show for the EMH, but there was no train or dancing. Just a few characters doing the countdown on the train station. We positioned ourselves in front of the entrance to get in quickly.

DSC05017.jpg

We had a plan: Chuck and Jake were off to ride Space Mountain (and get Fastpasses) while Em and I would take a turn on Buzz Lightyear. We would meet up at our family friend, PLeakley. Ahh, Space Mountain, one of the best roller coasters around (not like that Kracken…but more on that later…)

DSCF0540-1.jpg

Soon the rope (the magical rope that has the power to hold thousands of hording Disney masses back!)was down and we were greeted with a familiar sight. Even rushing in the crowds, it brings a tear to my eye.

Em took this pic.
DSC03174.jpg

We made the right decision going to EMH. All the other people headed for Fantasyland and we had Tomorrowland (mostly) to ourselves! After Em beat me soundly on Buzz, we jumped back on and she beat me again!!

We looked over at Pleakley and the boys were not there yet so we debated what to do. As we rounded the TTA, we saw absolutely no one in line for the Astro-orbiter!! Em hasn’t ridden it since our second trip!! The poor CM running the elevator looked so lonely. Now, I am not good with heights at all. No way. No how. I totally freaked out on Dumbo one year, embarrassed Em so bad, she was mad at me! Em really wanted to go so I sent her over. The CM asked, “Will you not ride?” I told him about my height thing and he said just go up and watch. No one was up there. I screwed up my courage and got on the elevator.

DSCF0539.jpg

It’s really high! But he was right, no one was up there! EM jumped right on.

DSCF0524.jpg

It’s a beautiful view!

DSCF0531-1.jpg

No one else came up so Em went again.

DSCF0532-1.jpg

While she was riding the second time, I could see the boys down by Pleakley. Em was so excited and happy. It was worth getting up early. And very few things are worth getting up early for……..which causes me to ponder (Warning Random chuckie thought!) we take vacations to relax, but when we go to WDW, we get up early, stay out late, walk all day thorough scorching heat (mostly) and brave huge crowds…And Pay BIG Bucks to do it!….hmmm…..

Meanwhile over at Space Mountain…….Ahhhh, the pleasures of a fast pass!! The only thing better than a fast pass, is four fast passes (especially when there are only two of you!). We were able to walk straight onto the ride and we went to the left for a change. Jake thinks that the left rack has more dips in it while the right one has more sharp turns…..the only thing I know is that as much as I love to ride Space Mt., it beats me half to death!!! After getting off the ride, using the other set of fast passes we were able to go around and get right back on!

Once we were back together we decided to take a quick turn on the TTA.

Chuck, Jake and Em took yet another ride through Space while I participated in one of my favorite vacation activities: shopping!! Mickey’s Star Traders is a fun shop (Now approaching Mickey’s Star Traders….), but it was really just a reconnaissance mission. I take my purchases very seriously so I usually have to look at them in several different shop over several different days before I make the final selections. Only a few postcards…..this time!

We’ve done all this and it’s only ten AM!!

More to come!

Neurosis? Nahhhhh! Shopping is therapy, ESPECIALLY shopping at WDW!

I find that I spend most of the vacation seriously consider what I'll spend my money on.............and then the last day I go crazy and spend every last penny I have on some of the stupidest things. I need help!

Great trip reporting! I love the He said / She said angle.
4 trips in one year? You guys are my new heroes!
:worship: :worship: :worship: :worship:

Yeay! Another installment!!!

Sounds like an awesome morning at the MK! I feel the same way you do about Astro Orbiter. We were up on the platform last October, and I swear, my knees buckled and I went all, "I have to get down from here RIGHT now!!!" Fought my way back to the elevator and didn't feel right until I was back on solid ground! Charles and Chelsea loved it, though.

Can't wait to hear what you do next!

I hope you are feeling better -- I have missed hearing from you!

Hey guys, I've lurked on your previous TR's and I finally wanted to de-lurk myself and say HI!

Chuck-I am probably the only known person who HATES the morning show and song in the MK. Like, I REALLY hate it!

I simply love Pleakley and his double tounge. I always take a picture where I am kissing him like THIS:

I too love Mickey's Star Traders. In case you weren't aware, Mickey's Star Traders will be happy to rocket-ship to any planet in the galexy::yes::

Can't wait for more!

I'm all caught up now. :) Great report and pics. I'm finding things I want to try during our trip in August.

1. - Boardwalk Bakery - those desserts look good!!
2. - Eat sweets for meals if that's what you want!!
3. - Never done Astrorbiter. Try it this trip!! Maybe if I can work up the courage:rotfl:

I love the tie-dye shirts. They really look good. And loved the SE movie. That has always been one of DH's and my favorite rides. Can't wait to see the updates. They look like a lot of fun!!

Now I'm even more excited about our trip! :hyper: I'm waiting popcorn:: patiently for the next installment. ::yes::

My very first time to ride it was this trip, we were on a mission to complete a check off list, I had a true laughing fit once in that little rocket ship with my 14 yr old son.I did not know how i was going to climb out. Scared to death , could not belive i agreed to this. but your right it was a great veiw early in the morning.

Wow you did get loads done, it just shows that sometimes the EMH's are worth going to :thumbsup2
