Begone you nasty throw-up bug!!!

Will this thing EVER leave our house??? DD6 was sick all through saturday night and sunday and out two days of school. Then DS11 got sick! He was out of school on tuesday, went back yesterday, and then last night he was up after midnight sick and has been sick several times this morning. Ugh! DD is supposed to have an after-school art class today but the teacher called last night cancelling saying that all of HER family is sick with it!

I'd rather they have a cold instead of this nasty thing. At least the kids are older and they can walk around with a bucket instead of making a mess everywhere.

Remember to WASH YOUR HANDS!!!!!

Hey Jill!! My DH got this on Sunday morning and felt bad through Monday.

I was absolutely paranoid about me and the kids getting it. I donned my elbow length rubber gloves and scrubbed every area he was in. I stripped the sheets, blankets, comforters, and sprayed everything down with Lysol.

I learned once from my mom that this is what you have to do to keep the family getting it. One year, all four of us had the rotovirus at roughly the same time. My mom had to come take care of us and I was so concerned she'd get it. But she washed everything constantly (including herself) and it worked for her.

It seems to have worked for us this time.

Now if *I* get it, it is another story. DH will not be scrubbing everything, so most likely, everyone will come down with it.

Ugh, I know what you mean... My 4yo dd caught it Saturday, and it was pretty much a 24 hour bug. I caught it yesterday, and still feel horrible. But, I was able to make it to work today. However, I wish I were still home in bed!! GO AWAY BUG!!!

Hey, we're from MA too and DD 6 started throwing up and then some diarrhea suddenly around 3:00p till bedtime. Then she was so tired Saturday and had a little fever.

Sunday, I woke up feeling sick, then a few hours later DH started feeling sick and then later, my 9 year old started throwing up. We all got it and we all stayed home Monday.

It was awful. The first time we all caught the same thing.

We're slowly getting back to normal.
